WTF #1?? So last friday I'm going down Killingsworth and waiting to get on to I-205 North. As I'm about to turn left to get on to the freeway on ramp some bum on a bike looks at me like he wants to kill me and puts his bike in front of my car. Keep in mind this is about 5pm so rush hour traffic. So I can't go forward because of this guy, people start honking the horn. He then moves out of the way and then 2 seconds later puts his bike in front of my car to block me again. People start honking again then he then leaves, but I see him a few seconds later on the bike path flipping me off as everyone is moving 3mph on the on ramp. I thought he was going to pick up some rocks and throw it at the 360. Thankfully nothing happened.

WTF #2?? Saturday I'm on a date and we go to a little place to have dinner in downtown Gresham. I come out to find that someone hucked a loogie on drivers side window/door. This is the 2nd time this happened.

When I first got the car I was in downtown PDX and someone hucked a loogie on it...

Anything like this happen to any of you F-car owners? Please share. Obviously there are jealous people out there. What comes around goes around.

    Wilson,

I'm sorry to hear about what happened.

In my ten years of driving various Ferraris about the Seattle area, I've had a few encounters with idiots like that, but nothing to severe.

Cars swerving at me on purpose to get a reaction and a few people yelling nasty comments has been the worst.

Overall, it's been mainly thumbs ups and waves.

Don't let those jealous few keep you from enjoying your car

Without a doubt I will still enjoy the car. 99% of the time is the thumbs up from people, people saying light em up, etc, etc, etc and it's great.

Just seeing if in general this happens to everyone else that 1% of the time.

It's summer time and time to DRIVE!!!

I park my cars in NW Portland and downtown several times a week, with generally no problems. However, it did look like someone spat on the 456 on NW 23rd a few months back. I just wiped it off and carried on-- not that big of a deal.

I used to park my Mondial downtown all day with the top off, and never had a problem. Overall, I think we have fewer problems in Portland than in many cities, at least from what I've read on FerrariChat.

I've also noticed that I seem to get much less attention than people in other areas, again based on what I've read on here. I will go for weeks or even months at a time without hearing a single comment, then I'll usually get three or four in a single day (gas station attendants excepted-- I've never been to a gas station in a Ferrari where I didn't end up fielding a bunch of questions).

I've been pretty lucky with my 360. Bird droppings, bugs, and fingerprints are about the only things that get on the car. Once I've caught ,in the mirror, a guy on the sidewalk spit toward my parked car as a sign of disrespect, but that's about it. A girl lay on the front of the 360 for a picture during a car show when hardly anyone's around. But that's a whole other story.

In general, people are pretty nice.

I mean I don't have a ferrari but when I see one i freak out :) and my friends too Im always the one telling them not to touch it so the owner doesnt come back to a Ferrari that has finger prints all over it!!

Someone left a bag of Chinese take-out on the hood of my 360 right after I got it. (at least it was still in the bag and not poured all over it)

I've had several people swerve at me, a few cut right in front of me on the freeway and slam on the brakes, a couple stop in front of me at intersections and wait for the light to turn red, then go leaving me at the light, a girl last week stopped right in front of me in the middle of a block for literally a minute or two (with no other traffic around), give me a nasty look in the rear view mirror, then slowly start driving again (no, I wasn't tail gating or doing anything less than polite). Most people only show positive feelings toward the car though. Let's face it, there are just a few pissed off, negative people in the world and every once in a while we're going to find one of them.

    Enjoy your car!

Actually, she had my permission and was very careful. See below pic by DJ.

The one I posted about earlier was back in 2001 during the Italian Concours at the Pier. Nobody around the cars, full body weight on the front hood and left a mark on a corner near the windshield, likely from a bracelet. No dents, thankfully.

Sorry to hear about the "other woman". I didn't know about that one. It's frustrating when some people choose not to respect something that belongs to someone else.

Maybe the second woman helps to make up for the first one?

That just might be it...I used to have a G22 that liked to accompany me, but I decided that it might be best to leave it home. (too many temptations)

Maybe it is the yellow. Never thought about it.

I occasionly find an idiot out there when driving the G, but most people just stop and stare with gaping mouths, or point, or poke at their friend who's with them to get them to look, etc; you know the drill.

Funny you mention G19. I do have my CHL but have never carried it. But the next day I went looking for a holster for my PT111.

Being on the road it is sometimes freaky. You totally have to try to anticipate other drivers. It's cool if they want to take pics/video but when they start going around the car on the freeway not paying attention you never know what might happen. I'm experienced the same thing with people cutting me off, etc, etc. On a positve note the car has made me a better driver. Very defensive driver now.

Just the other day someone girl was looking in my car and she was wearing a necklace that clanked all over the passenger door. I was like f&%k!! It wasn't some puney thing, it was like something Mr. T would wear...

almost everybody loves the Countach & the F40 & the Slutmobile

the 512tr coupe people are not as positive to, maybe its a stereotype ?

a friend of mine was standing in front of a hotel in SoBe while I was parking the Slutmobile & he told me somebody said "he's getting the attention he needs"

another time in front of another hotel in SoBe I was walking out to the Slutmobile as 2 avg 150 lb + American chicks were approaching. The valet asked them "are you getting in that car?" They both said "we're not getting in THAT car" but there body language was saying something else.

I didnt really care as I had a little Brazilian chick getting in hotter than both of them together :)
