Anyone interestedin a Missouri Drive or Meet at the Missouri State Capitol this summer or fall. I think it would be too kool to have a "Cavallinos on the Capitol." in Jefferson City. There are some awesome roads out that way, the drive there would be worth it for most.

I was thinking of some of the kool pix we could get with Ferraris lined up in front of the State Capitol building. (on either side). There are some good restaurants around for lunch/dinner and hotels if anyone wants to spend the night. It could be a relaxed fun informal social gathering.

I driven to Jeff City alot and never seen a Ferrari there yet. Maybe Motorcars International or Bentley of STL would like to host/ provide some tech assistance if needed?

Just throwing out some ideas for us Midwesters to meet. (MO/KS/IA/IL/OK/NE/TN/AR/KY).

Fall is a pretty drive. Any ideas? Anyone?

If not Jeff City maybe meet in Columbia and a drive to Jeff City.

Highway 94 all the way to Jeff City is a beautiful drive, especially in the fall. I'd be more than interested.

I just drove it the other day and the road was not bad. some areas were newly paved last year. Just a few rough spots at bridge joints.

The KC FCA chapter would be interested, but remember Crescent Classic is September 11-14th and that pretty well consumes most of the exotics in September...

Chris, great point re: Crescent. Would you guys be interested in August when its blazing hot or early October and chance some rain? Or could we organize this earlier in the summer?

Scott, you can take the Jaguar club to Fulton for a photo op at the Churchill memorial ;)

Uh, thats only one weekend. What are you guys in the Ferrari Reserves? One weekend a month and a week in the summer? Just Kidding. We can take that into account if we pick a day(s).

Monday September 1, Labor day is a Holiday. The last few years the fall has been very dry..at least on the East & South sides of the state. Not looking for anything huge or formal. Just a casual get together, park, photos, and maybe cruise a little and grab some chow. It depends on how many people are interested. If we can get the KC & STL FCA together it could be a big turnout.

Dining for a large crowd without reservations is tough, even in Jeff City. We could do ice cream at Central Dairy. Maybe bring a crash van with some tailgating & BBQ gear. Don't know if the Capital Police would Ok it but I can inquire with some friends.

There are several hotels in Jeff City if anyone wants to stay over (too long of drive). I don't know if any have garages though.

Just throwin out some ideas. I think it would be kinda kool to meet everyone and see their cars in person. Plus think of the photo we could send to the FCA mag for their cover.

Maybe do a tour of the Capital or see if we can get a behind the walls tour of "The Castle" (Old Jeff City Pen).

Lunch in Columbia,MO? Sheakspeares Pizza? Whatever.

I was just thinking..maybe we could even raise some money for the Masters program. The support group for Missouri State Troopers' families of Officers killed in the line of duty. That woud be a good thing.

backstoppers is great, imo, but i had never heard of the masters before, sounds like another great organization. especially after the recent events in kirkwood, it's great to benefit either of these organizations.

it's off of 54 (don't blink, you'll miss it, :D) basically, if you're on 54, head south past kingdom city and it's all of 4 exits along the highway heading towards jeff city. it's claim to fame (other than the fact i lived there for a while) was that winston churchill gave the iron curtain speech at the school i attended (westminster college)

Fulton is also known for the Fulton Diagnostic Center of the DOC. Thats were all the convicted prisoners go to be evaluated before they are rated and given their prison assignments. It also has a home for the criminally insane as well as a Nuke plant (Calloway). So hmm, makes it a pretty happening place huh? So Scott were you really there at Westminster for a few years or just doing time. LOL.

The end of August Early maybe a good time to run up there. Anyone?

    Dave
