From www.itv-f1.com Jenson Button has parted company with manager John Byfield. Byfield was the man who advised Button during his controversial attempt to switch to Williams last season. Under the terms of the deal, Button has actually extended his contract with management team Essentially Sport - but Byfield has left his role as boss of the company. Essentially Sport will appoint a replacement for Byfield in due course. In the meantime, Byfield's role will be filled by director Duncan Hickman. A scapegoat has been found. I find it hard to believe that Jenson had no responsibility in the aborted move to Williams
My sentiments exactly. I'm quite curious to know what the real story is behind the whole thing. David Richards, at least from an outsider perspective, certainly didn't deserve that kind of treatment. Further, Button was likely making a large mistake. --Dan
