I have to disagree with you on this. Schumacher was behind Alonso, odds are he would have finished behnind Alonso. Massa had a chance to win, and add points in the Ferrari column for the manuafacturer's championship.

I would have done what Todt did, bring Massa in first, becase as the team manager, I want the manufacturer's championship first, driver's championship is secondary. In hindsight, the decision was correct. Also my decision would be based on my confidence that Massa would get the job done because he fills the Ferrari job description better than anyone else on the the grid except for Michael Schumacher. That does not mean he is a faster driver than Alonso or Raikkonen, but he does the job as a back-up driver quite well.

I predict that Massa will finish ahead of Alonso in 2007, his only competition will be Raikkonen, and I think Massa will give Raikkonen a run for his money for the first half of the season. I also put Massa in the top 20% of drivers on the grid. I do not care how good his car is, he will still finish 3rd in the points this year behind two previous world champions. You do not do that unless you drive a good car well.

Yes, it would be better to see MS prade on the track alone for 2 hours.

Alonso is a farce champion and I hate all farce champions!

Hey Senna1994, How many times did you watch the crash tape o keep your ugly memory alive today?

Apart from juvenile dribble, Impy, you never come up with a logical explanation to your offensive statements.

    When will you grow up?

You know I respect you a lot, but how can you think like that? Didn't you watch Melbourne, Hungary, Monza? I know you did and saw this guy crashing, getting lapped and incapable of passing.

I give Massa one at the most 2 years at Ferrari before he gets replaced. As I said I have nothing against him (actually I like him as a guy and even have his sig from his Sauber times), but he ain't no front runner. There are several better people out there.

Senna1994: Actually no I meant Fabrizio Giovanardi. A bit of F1/Ferrari folklore: He "test drove" their car once. Up and down a straight line in Varano. It was an old "debt" they were paying. I just love odd stuff like that. Particularly when the team had a drivers lineup that didn't change for so many years. :)

Well, Dornboos out-qualified Massa. 13th (before engine penalty) vs. 10th or something like that.

Alonso will outperform Massa next year. Massa is only 5 points higher up than Kimi in the WDC and Kimi has had A LOT more mechanical problems, which some here say is his fault for driving too hard. Alonso is a better driver than Kimi to begin with so Massa will not finish ahead of him in the points.

It will be interesting to see next year how well or not Alonso will do in the McClonk. Despite some overdriving on Kimi's part I think the car is more to blame there than the driver and Alonso will have a dismal year.

Well the lack of a Adrian Newey won't help, but the Engine Freeze might help McLaren next season. They should spend less on motorhomes and try to keep intact their Technical Staff.

    My explanation is:

Ferrari 1 - 2! Nothing Else Matter! Nothing logical about it!

I grew up to realize that:

Ferrari 1 - 2! Nothing Else Matter! Nothing logical about it!

Webber cleaned Heidfeld's clock last year - and yet you put him even with Massa? Right...

Button has had impressive performance since 2003 - not something that Massa can boast.

At this point I'd have to rate Massa above Fisi, because it's hard to think that Alonso is that good.
