Funny video. As a long suffering knick fan lin is an oasis in the sahara. I have never seen a more unlikely player come out of no where and captivate a city like this. To hit the 3 at buzzer in toronto! Wed game at garden will be hottest ticket in ny in yrs and his ovation at start will be beyond.

Count me in as another long-suffering Knicks fan who is overjoyed that another Point Guard to watch has finally emerged.

    It could happen!

[Walt Frazier was my double-pumpin', ball-stealin', assistin' hoops idol - easy to follow and "learn from" as so many Sunday TV games of my youth were Knickerbockers]

I swore the Knicks off years ago, but I'm now watching again. Last night"s game was crazy. You would think that the other teams would have him figured out, but he just keeps doing it. I thought there would be nothing between the Giants big win and baseball, but this is great.

I hate the Knicks (I'm a Nets fan, crazy as that may be), but man this guy Lin is great!

Watched the end of the game, you just shake your head in disbelief. How can you not root for him???

It's great for sports, and it's a great life lesson - don't quit. Tough times don't last, but tough people do.

I hope he keeps it up and has a HOF career...just a great story.

I could hardly be further from NYC, and he's got folk here captivated too!..... He was the lead story on Sportscenter last night - Showed the "imaginative" headlines coming from the NY press ["Linsational" and "Lintastic" among others], a very good interview but mostly a highlight reel that is already stunning! Wow, just wow! [And I'm no basketball fan btw....]

Good luck to the kid. I wonder if he's "gone global" yet? I'll have to ask the boys in the UK.

    Cheers,
    Ian

How is basketball viewed across the pond? I'd imagine not a huge deal, but curious...

Certainly not a big deal in the UK. IIRC, there is (or at least was) a small semi-pro league in the UK but I doubt many have even heard of it. Certainly not as big as Spain, Turkey and a few others where they do have (pretty well paid) full-time pro leagues.

I'll find out if the boys have even heard of him yet as they're big sports fans full stop - Their TV's tend to never leave one sports channel or another! [I bought 'em up right ;)]

    Cheers,
    Ian

and it lintinues....11 assists in 1st half, double-double, over %50 shooting...

its like when jason kidd 1st went to nets. took a horrible franchise and just changed everything around through force of will. lin really is second coming of kidd. the way he never gives up his dribble...

    im lin love

Got to finally watch him today against the Mavs. Interesting story. Will follow him to see if his success continues. Good for the Knicks!
