(wires) Jesse James breaks the land-speed record for a hydrogen-powered vehicle, hitting 199 mph in a stunt for his show Jesse James is a Dead Man. Six years after he got the idea and bought the streamliner, Jesse James has set the world record for hydrogen-powered speed
Jesse James is the only true American badass. This guy is level, funny, smart, and married to a beautiful woman. When I grow up.....
The show has been on for a couple of weeks, the only one I've seen is were he has to outrun the cops for 20 minutes in a Camaro.
AAAAAAaaaaaa ha ha, How about NO.....! He didn't ride that POS green bike to Sturgis, HE slept in the van. Sure, he did some good acting in some porn too. (errrr, , oo, , so , , or , ,I mean , so I have heard.) (Good thing Sandra set him straight or he would have got his punk buttocks kicked in.) LA is LA is LA, , , , I know some LA peeps. It is not good to be a Poser biker in LA. Ciao for now, Edwardo Image Unavailable, Please Login
Please, I've met the man at Montreal for his Inagural Ferrari Challenge race a few years ago. He's no poseur.....he's the real deal. Ever been to his shop? Those aren't toy-bikes he makes down there.....
Right, , a FEW years ago, , not 10. I'm not saying HE is not for real now,,,, he has had enough help. (Thanks to Sandra, and LA.) ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but, when he started........ etc. Nice car though........ NOTE; Indian Larry is a "Real" biker,,, RIP. Edwardo Image Unavailable, Please Login
Oh, and he is NOT related to the Jesse James the outlaw, as he had claimed, , Again, , , , , , ,, , ,,, BEFORE he met Sandra. Ciao for now, Edwardo (from Cali. , , ,, , ,NOT a biker. , ,, , ,, , Surfer, , ,, , ,, , Been to LA. , , , , , , Lots. ' ' ' ' '' Cousins in Long Beach. , , , , , , They have a pool. , , , , , No, they are not movie stars.)
One of these things is not like the other. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ultimate lameosity. The show is a bunch of made-up stunts that by themselves would be okay but with the never-ending "will Jesse cheat death?" crap is nearly unwatchable. The hydrogen speed record is noteworthy (I may watch that episode) but 199mph is less than half of the wheel driven record set by the Summers Brothers in "Goldenrod" back in 1965. Is this another of those crappy fill the time shows on Speed?? sounds like it ranks with the stupidest of the stupid....pinks, livin the low life, etc...... there should be a teenybopper tv for this ****. We were at the gp in Montreal and saw Jesse too - Enzo would have done back flips if he's seen that flat black, iron cross, etc. stuff on a 360...thank goodness that was short-lived. Carol
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against a "glorified welder" (his term for himself, not mine) making it big. This show is a product of Hollywood idiots and he's just the talent. He's a talented artist and for that he should be proud. Getting chased around by a bunch of off-duty cops for TV, not so much.
None of these guys could carry Rolly Free's salt. Here's Rolly setting the two wheel record on his Vincent. It stood for years. That's his normal riding position. On the first run his leathers flapped and tore a wound in his throat. So with time pressing to complete the return run he took them off. That resulted in the 'most famous picture in motor-cycling' as we see Rolland setting 150.313 mph (241.905 km/h) on his Black Lightning. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Jesse seems like a great guy in person. he and Sandra have a house here in Savannah. i know where they live, as i have a female friend that had a house across the street on a bluff to theirs. last time i saw Sandra, she mentioned she had a thing for Porsche 911's? i was in my old black carb 308 GTB, not the blue QV i have now when i ran into her. very nice people, i wish them both well
there is a question as to whether or not its a real record. http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/24/not-so-fast-jesse-james-hydrogen-speed-record-challenged/ impressive accomplishment to be sure... but a real record? Nah.
I'm sure there's no reason that mere details like rules and facts should get in the way of good television.
