WOW!!, Congrats Jenson. I like the threads, anyone that doesn't like the threads instead of complaining why don't you just not look at them? Then we're all happy.

..as usual, some people have to find something (trivial in the extreme) to complain about. The fact that you would additionaly compute what 'percentage' of someones posts were a cut and paste says far more about you than the person you were criticising. As a few posters on this thread have suggested...either put them on your ignore list...or more pointedly...get a life.

SRT Mike, your comment: <'Topics like "Hamilton upstaged by Saudi prince" and "Button on a yacht with a woman" are hardly interesting news tid-bits.> is rather revealing. According to you, it's 'hardly' interesting. Thank you for being the official arbiter on what and what is not 'interesting'. You will of course editorialise on all forthcoming posts as to their value or not. We are grateful that there is someone who can save the rest of us from our own ignorance in such matters....

Believe me if you hang around long enough on here, you will realize SRTMike is one of the most respected poster's in the F1 section IMO.

    Take it as you will..

...so that means that he has the right to try and censor on behalf of the rest of us then...ok, just so I understand that's how it works. Whether or not he is 'one of the most respected' members (!) of the forum is irrelevant. If someone is considerate enough to take the time to post some information from 'another' website, then so be it. Why would someone think that their opinion as to the 'value' of that information is any more important than others of us who enjoyed said information? Respect....hmm, I think the information on Jensons girlfriend is of more value...

uh,no...what he was trying to do is decide for EVERYONE the value of another persons post. That is much different from 'voicing an opinion' on the subject matter. I may say the material is 'of no value', or 'enjoyable' or any other adjective you may choose. What I didn't do, nor would I, is to suggest that someones post should 'not even be displayed'. The essence of freedom is the free-flow of information. I would rather have 'too much' information, than a limited, elitist 'pravda' selection of self-censored pablum. Just because Mike, or anyone else for that matter thinks posted info 'is of no value' does not give him or others the right to limit the information (mod's excluded of course!). To suggest that there would be an exponential explosion of copied info from other sites is ludicrous. We all read info that is interesting, and in a manner of consideration towards others, post a link. If you think a person is posting 'too much drivel'...then put them on your ignore list. Problem solved. Please let the rest of us endure with whatever information is available thank you very much...

Well I beg to differ, if it's tabloid crap I would say it's crap, but if it create's a talking point so be it.. I was hoping Button would get a F1 ride, besides a ride on Jessica!!

    So here end's my debate.

...I agree with you on Jenson. A very badly managed career has blunted the potential of one of the greatest talents of our generation. I truly do hope he finds his way back into F1. (of course, he can console himself with the lovely Jessica...!!)
