Raymond - Try HPC in Ok. City (405-789-2888) they are a big outfit. Or Performance Coating in Arlington Tx. (817-274-1947) They are a small group, just a couple of guys, but have been doing my stuff for a while and I am very pleased.

    Good luck,

    Hey James, thanks allot.

Jet Hot coating is like powder coating, but for exahust or other high temperature items.

Yeup, it's a treatment inside and out for an item such as an exhaust. My current header (not F-car) is jet hot coated and reduces the under hood temps quite a bit. While it isn't as shiney and pretty as it once was, it's dulled out due to the heat and tends to be a hazy polish.

This works out very well, especially when temps can increase at the track, or other moments where the engine is running in the Texas heat. By reducing the exhaust heat coming from the header(s), the rest of the engine will be doing the majority of the heat-generation.

Also, it's another alternative (better) to wrapping headers/exhaust pipes, which can lead to premature failure where the pipe will just blow a hole out the side.

Jet Hot is a brand name of a cermanic coating process. I had the headers and mufflers cermanic coated on my Boxer when the engine was out last year for a major service. The company I used charged me $450, but is was not "Jet Hot" brand . It does keep the engine compartment a little cooler and makes the system looks better too. The greatest advantage is it holds more heat in the headers with helps with exhaust scavenging and thus increases power. How much,I have heard about 20-30% but, I don't really know for sure? Plus, its protects against corrosion too.

actually, it's roughly 20-30% decrease in temp.

Take a look at Swain Tech Coatings' web site. I have had non Ferrari headers HPC and Jet Hot coated in the past, but have not been happy with durability. The Swain Tech White Lightning coating is considerably thicker and seems to be very durable. They just did a set of 308 headers for me. The white color takes a little getting used to. A friend had a turbo housing done by them and was extremely impressed with the reduced heat.
