My son graduated as a mechanical engineer and is looking for a role in motorsport or automotive-related companies. He’s had a life-long passion for cars and racing. He began karting competitively at age 8, is a top driver globally in iRacing, and is now involved with track and autocross. His lifelong involvement with cars and motorsports is what motivated him to study mechanical engineering, so he is of course looking for automotive/motorsports opportunities. There are traveling track engineer positions available, but he really wants to have a role in an organization where he can grow and make big business impact. He’s more the type to identify business impediments and to proactively attack them than he is to sit in a back room working in a purely engineering role.

He’d like to find an opportunity within the motorsports division of a car manufacturer, or to leverage the combination of his driving skills and engineering knowledge in car development, or on the business side of motorsport, or even to be involved in a private track organization like Monticello. He is very determined and will drive success in the company if he can find the right opportunity. He prefers to be based in the NY/NY area (which is why I’m posting here), but is fine with very frequent travel and would relocate for the right opportunity. If anyone is aware of potential opportunities, please let me know via PM.

    Thank you for your help,
    - Peter
