John of MAcarbon visits Porsche Enthusiasts in South Korea

This summer I did a round the world trip. A week in Japan (visiting the in-laws), the weekend in Seoul, three days in Hong Kong and then a week at our CF laminate production workshop in Belgium.

The weekend in Soeul was a highlight as a group of Porsche enthusiasts was nice enough to schedule a driving event for that weekend. This was organized by one of our good customers.

We met early Saturday at a rest stop on the outskirts of the city. We then did a drive out to the Incheaon airport Hyatt for brunch. And then a run back to Seoul for coffee.

We had a nice group of cars including a lot of Porsches, an Audi and a Gallardo SL.

I've posted a few pics here. The drivers in South Korea don't mess around. Check out the steering wheel pic! I've never been so happy to see bumper-to-bumper traffic.

Yikes....I hope thats not in MPH.

 

KPH... but its still a big number... about 166MPH. Holy... I didn't realize it was that fast. A 997S can really move. Although we had trouble keeping up with the other cars.
