Hey guys I'm from Chicago but go to medical school out here in Kansas City. I got pulled over for 73 in a 60 on I35S just south of I635. This was in Johnson County on the highway. What are my options to keep the ticket off my record?

My friends were telling me something about paying double the fine but the officer didnt say anything about it and I can't find any solid info online about what to do either. The ticket doesn't say anything on it except that I can mail in my fine to the courthouse so I don't have to appear.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Was it a state tropper, sheriff or a city cop. I know if its a Jo Co. sheriff they let you double the fine as long as it was less than 20 mph over the speed limit. You can always call the number on the ticket and see.

It was a state trooper. Do I have to go to court to ask for supervision or w/e.

Aright I found a website for diversion. I'll call them in the morning and find out if I can do a paper diversion.
