Michael S has given his blessing, how about you? http://www.minniesparty.co.uk/ Thanks, I'll hopefully be there, B.
Most of the items are going on e-bay, dates on the website. If Ferrari can support this, then so can this and other Fcar forums, forget all the so-and-so sucks, so-and-so busted, let's get real!
Glad you are here Arthur. Let us not forget, that MS opened up his wallet and unlike ANY other sports star from any country, wrote a check for $10 million for the Tsunami victims in Thailand a few years back. Kyle Petty is the only other race driver I can think of at this moment with a really serious attempt at donating to charity. I would like to see all the other drivers donate something in proportion. Fred? Kimi?? Coultard? Junior?
While I agree everything you said here, let's not forget there are people who likes to do charity stuff behind the scene without telling the world. I am not saying the other F1 drivers are, or even if they are, they do as much as what MS does. I just want to point this out as personally I don't like to buy those $2 charity ticket my colleagues sell in the office while I donate way more than $2 per week/month/year.
MS never leaked that story. one of he's associate leaked that story to the press, and MS fired that person after that.
Don't get me wrong, I am not saying MS is trying to get his name on the front page. I am simply saying other drivers might (or might not) have done similar things where the story didn't leak into the public domain.
When my twins were in the NICU for 3 months after their birth (a whole other story) I witnessed more than a few babies die right after birth. Those babies and families are burned into my memory forever as one of the most horrific experiences I have seen first hand. I am going to look into this a bit more. This seems like a worthy cause. Thanks for posting about it.
