Just added a '90 TR to the stable. Got her detailed and ready for a spin. Didn't come with a manual so still trying to figure everything out. Runs and sounds great, just a little small for my 6'4" frame. Sorry for the bad Iphone pics, but that's all I have for now.

Looking forward to learning more about the TR on the forum.

    Cheers,

    Dave

    Congratulations, Dave!

I'm a little curious, the viper is about as "raw" of a car as it gets, what attracted you in the TR?

First I will say congratulations on the TR. Welcome to the club. Now for the bad news......it isn't a "single flying mirror TR". So......come joins us bottom feeders while Joe Zaff will enlighten you on the error of your ways. Again...congrats on a well deserved treat!!!

I'm eager to read how it compares to the Viper, although I'm convinced there is an ocean between them cars.

    A beautiful car indeed! Congrats!!!!

Welcome to the brotherhood! There are plenty of great folks here with a wealth of information! Looking forward to reading about your experiences with your new toy!

Oh, and good luck with that whole two rear view mirror thing, from what I hear... its a passing fad :D

FYI, its not that you dual mirror guys are bottom feeders... We are all playing on the same team!

...you're just the second string :p

I must agree. Each time I see my face in that single mirror I think of the wisdom words from Paris Hilton: God I'm hot! :D

When I was a kid, seeing that hook stick out ....it was always WOW...it can only be one car ........it's a TSTAROSSA !!!!

I still look at that hook today, and think to myself , how retarded that design was, but it's so perfect !

Only the Italians can get away with it looking so right.

    First of all:
    - vincenzo: thanks for the site on the manuals. excellent resource!!

-UpNorth: I currently own a 2000 Viper RT10SC (565 rwhp), I sold my '98 GTSTT (980 rwhp). The Viper is a much different car and hard to beat the raw power. As I've been lucky enough to start collecting cars I moved away from the Viper into the more exotics. The Viper and TR are not even comparable, both are awesome cars, but the TR is a classic, which is what I am slowly turning in to as well.

-Turbopanzer: These cars have mirrors? ;) And I wouldn't want to be anything more than a bottom feeder. That's where the true fun is!

    - Big Red: THE car to fulfill my childhood dreams is the Countach. Picked up one of those last year and I still can't get the smile off of my face. The TR drives easier and is more comfortable, but the CT is hard to beat for a pure sexy old school car.

    - RedFlyer512TR: Great question. Actually I bought myself a Diablo SV for Xmas, and couldn't believe how affordable the TR's are, so santa stuffed one in my stocking at the same time!

So the car performed flawlessly when I drove into the office on Saturday. When I came home a few hours later, it ran like crap! It sounded like it was missing under acceleration. It was a 70F degree beautiful day, so i'm not sure what the problem is. I didn't let it warm up, which I'm wondering if the old girl really needs? Haven't had time to do any searching on the subject yet.

Anyway, thanks for all of the feedback and looking forward to learning more. Assuming going out to the garage and ripping off one of the mirrors won't make me any cooler or better looking? :)

    Cheers,

    Dave

Congrats on the new buy and welcome to the club. I have only had mine for 3 weeks and I have never enjoyed a car this much. The TR driving experience is second to none and there is a great community of owners (as you can see) which is a strong bonus. Enjoy and drive safe.
