Hi everyone, I just bought my first Ferrari. I got a 17 Cali T with the HS package. Very excited about the car and community. We're currently getting the leather reconditioned and going to have the ppf replaced and eventually new buttons put in. The current buttons are a little sticky but not bad yet. Any advice for a new Ferrari owner? Whether in general or model specific.

Welcome to a new fun part of your life.

PPF is good to have. I suggest driving the car awhile before any PPF redo, that will give experience with the existing stripes over time before making any changes. I have friends who adore stripes and friends without.

Use the battery maintainer without fail. Check battery age (and tires, too). My experience is Interstate Batteries are fine (and are stocked at my F-car dealer) and last about four years.

Sticky issues occur for many soft plastic materials produced when technology changes with ecological considerations arose more. Not just in cars (e.g., McIntosh stereo, Swarovski binocular, ...), sticky buttons on Ferrari cars are part of this problem. You may have a good local solution, dealers also can take are of it.

    Enjoy the drive!

I use the 5 day limit without plugging in the charger. Hasn't failed on Cali T or Portofino. 2 weeks off charger killed the Portofino....

I wait for it to cool down or next day. I skip if driving more than 10 miles next day.

Look into sticky refinishing companies - if you replace them they’ll just get sticky again. I’ve done a couple cars over the years and if you’re already doing the work to R&R - a refin is cheaper and a permanent solution

Congratulations. I also keep mine religiously on the charger. I also operate the roof here and there to keep things going. You will enjoy the cali T, especially with the HS package
