    Local Tifosi -

I'm in the process of working with another local owner (99 355F1) to arrange a drive & dine on July 17th at the Bermuda Run Country Club. The Club would offer an Italian menu, inside or al fresco dining, and a concourse area for the Ferraris. Our drive could occur before or after the Country Club thing. Bermuda Run Coutnry Club is in Clemmons -- nicely located north of Charlotte, and West of the triad. Plenty of good roads head north from there.... in fact, we could rerun the Moonshine Rally course since I still have the road directions.

We're thinking this will run cost between $30-40/person for the food & wine.

Can I get a quick head-count of who might be interested? I have established a public Yahoo! group to try arranging non-Fchat folks too. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/ferrari_nc/

If you can nail down the details somewhat before this week is over and give them to me in a paragraph, I'll get the event into the July FCA Monthly NewsBulletin calendar.

This is a shameful "bump" to move the thread back up.

FYI: I was at Bermuda Run CC earlier this week. They're providing a ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook a lawn where we'll park the cars. The cars will all be away from the main parking lot (and away from any flying golf balls!!) on a nice shady grass area. Meal choices look very good. Mrs. Jack Russell and I are picking the food/beverage stuff this evening.

Bob Snow (FCA) has mapped the drive already... great roads up towards Hanging Rock State Park.

Be sure to RSVP!! This is going to be fun!

6 Ferraris, 11 attendees confirmed. That's pretty good, considering we're still 4 weeks away. With enough cars and tifosi, this will be THE event of the summer !!

See the sticky poll at the top of this list to RSVP, or contact me directly.

    Best Regards,
    Daniel

I'm in if you can stand the beautiful noise. Maybe I can get Bud and his new 360 and a Testarosa or two to come up as well.

Sounds Great!!! The roads Daniel has picked out are sure to be plenty of fun. We drove up to hanging rock park earlier in the year and it was great then.

    Folks -

I still need to get an official headcount for the number of cars we'll have at Bermuda Run on July 17th.

The CAFÉ/FCA Bermuda Run Luncheon and Rally should be THE EVENT of the summer. We've missed several people during the last few Charlotte events, so mark your calendar now for JULY 17th. (By the way, last weekend at Wizeguy's was wonderful... the weather was outstanding, the food was great, and watching Richard McGee nail the throttle on his Testarossa was priceless.)

Saturday July 17th: 11:30am Luncheon/Show-n-Shine Concourse. 2:00pm Rally begins. Lunch will cost $30/person, the rally is free. You must RSVP by Wednesday July 7th, as the Country Club needs to know who's coming! If you've already contacted me directly, you're already on the list.

Check out the pictures from CELEBRATION OF THE ENZO or CRYSTAL COVE in the Southern California Forums. Our event can be JUST AS COOL !! Be sure to sign up today! Don't allow the left-coast crew to have all the fun !

PM me, or use the sticky thread at the top of the NC forum (here) if you'd like to RSVP.

I would love to go, but unfortunately I'll be in a cast and unable to drive for another 2 months. :(

I will be attending the lunch and the drive. I am also bringing a passenger. I posted one on the poll but it will obviously be two. See everyone there. Will probably not have my 355 by then, but will bring my NSX (if that is ok, of course).

Outstanding! Of course, the NSX and a co-pilot/passenger are very welcome to attend. I've just sent you an email. More details in the coming days.

Another note, Mrs. Jack Russell Racing is putting together "goody bags" for all the drivers. I've warned her to only select leather-friendly items (i.e. no chocolate!), but we'll just have to see what she picks!

    Daniel,

As I mentioned in my other thread, I'm between Ferraris at the moment, but would like to attend in my street-legal Miata track car. It looks to me like its about 140 miles from Swannanoa, which would be an easy trip for me.

I'd like to meet enthusiasts in this area, and might even be lucky enough to have replaced my 328 by that time.

    Morrie -

We'd love to have you! A colleague of mine races a turbo Miata with great success. They're outstanding cars... even with out the Dancing Donkey on the fenders. ;-)

Drop me an email or PM. We'll be sending more information in the coming days, but I need to know a formal email address and whether you'll have a co-pilot/passenger with you.

    Best Regards,
    Daniel

Hey Morrie......I'll be heading down with a friend of mine either in my CLK or his S4 if you wanna meet up. I've got directions printed out so it should be hard at all to get there.
