Starting a new thread for myRob1 so I don't mess up his RobzWorkz project thread.
And provide some EXIF information for others by making EXIF forum searchable and for those interested in viewing photo exif anywhere it may exist in photos on the web.

Jpeg images contain data, imbedded into the file by the camera. Besides date and time, copyright information, even gps data can be included in addition to camera model, iso speed, shutter speed and flash settings and lens data such as focal length and aperture.

When you upload a camera image directly into the forum post, readers can view those details. Opanda has free software for your browser which allows you to right click on a photo and get the data. such as the data below from Peter's photos in the azzurro Dino thread. http://www.opanda.com/en/download/index.html Chose the browser you use and download it free. It's in wide use and doesn't burden the browser as it isn't called until the right click is received.

Unfortunately, to alter or crop images, many people use a post-processor which strips off the exif data or they haven't checked the right box to allow it to stay with the picture. EXIF isn't for everyone, but know that it is there and the data can often be obtained easily with a right click.

edit - it wouldn't hurt to add that EXIF stands for Exchangeable Image File format.

    Thanks Paul. This looks cool.

Thanks for the help as well. I'll do better with those blurry tabletop pics.
