    aww c'mon you guys.

He's quietly bringing the car home in the best position possible while waiting to go McLaren. What do you want him to do?

This is a stupid thread by a Montoya hater who just wants to churn things up a bit because JPM has given them nothing to talk about lately.

Is it maybe because when JPM talks sometimes there is truth in what he is saying? And he is quiet now because there were no incidents worth mentioning.

JPM finished a very respectable 4th at Hungary. He still has a shot at 4th place for WDC.

Good call. I think its good to see him quietly going about his work. It would be horrible and justify a lot of the Fchat "Forever Loyal to MS" fans if he started to tear into the Williams team verballly. I admit I am not a JPM fan, ( cheering for Ferrari and as for drivers actually liked the outcast Irvine best, ) so to see him not play his Latin bravado card to insult Sir Frank is good. JPM should be cheered for but until he is an actual contender, does he have the right to tell Head and Williams they are going about their business wrong? How respectful was Senna to his boss, you even have to give props to JV for not bailing out on the investment of his buddy Craig P and BAR when he knew it would be a long building process, ( it still seems like it is. ) JPM seems the type who would tell Ron Dennis he is an idiot and jump to a seat at Ferrari in the span of a season's opening three races. The fact he is being a good soldier and fighting out till his move should change the attitudes of some of these Fchatters who have a decent understanding of JPM's attitude and cut him a little slack.

I think JPM is a great character that does overstep the lines too much but that is sometimes good for the sport. What I despise is his lack of human interest in anyone but himself in his accidents and run ins with F1 personalities and fans. You need fire but it to be somewhat controlled.

What is a shame is Trulli being the whine baby now. I always thought he was skilled driver just happy to sneak into contention with the heavy hitters. But according to ITV posts lately, he is now the latest person talking about a conspiracy just against him.

Your probably right there. I just said Kimi will own out of my own dislike for JPM, as a person, not as a driver. I have always thought that Kimi had more talent than JPM, so i think he will be the better scoring driver. Either way it will be exciting. I bet JPM will be mouthing off more than ever!

I think JPM is maturing. Maybe we ought to wait and see instead of judging him on his past actions. Even the beloved MS has said a few untoward things and behaved irresponsibly in the past.

As to who will own who in terms of temperament I haven't forgotten Kimi shoving the corner worker (never saw JPM do that although I did see MS- in person- throw his wheel to the ground in disgust in Melbourne in 98- I think they took away $10K for that one- mere pennies to MS we know).

In terms of driving I would be hesitant to bet much on either but I would presume Kimi will have the early nod because he's had more time to become familiar with the car and the team.

Besides JPM paid Ferrari a pretty fair compliment per the latest issue of F1.

JPM has always been a refined gentleman of unquestionable character. Why do you think it ununsual for him to be quite? Would would you expect any less from him?

Did i read that right? Ive seen JPM throw hissy-fits at BMW press events such as Melbourne last year. A person that storms out of a function, swearing and throwing things is a perfect example of a gentleman who is anything but refined.

Whiner ! ? Have you been watching the same races that I have ? Far from being a whiner. Bruno Junker in the champ car series is a whiner.

perhaps he's having misgivings about the move to a team with serious reliability issues.
