Do the campy's need a special spare tie down or should it have the same one as the early cars? Nice pouch and kit. Andrew
You overlooked their other 74 GTS (non-Chairs&Flares) USA Dino up for sale at $225k, with claim of only 30k miles... http://www.autosportdesigns.com/Sales/Salesphotos.aspx?ID=2126
Pretty ironic that decades of non-driving and self-deprivation were rewarded with the need for a full rebuild anyway.
I do have the SN's for these two Dino's (thank you Tom from Autosports Designs!) http://www.autosportdesigns.com/Sale...s.aspx?ID=2127 - #08298 http://www.autosportdesigns.com/Sale...s.aspx?ID=2126 - #07890
Blue GTS #07890 http://www.autosportdesigns.com/Sales/Salesphotos.aspx?ID=2126 Red GTS #08298 Flares & Chairs http://www.autosportdesigns.com/Sales/Salesphotos.aspx?ID=2127 Sorry about that, but I verified these links as good. I was forwarded emails from Marcel Massini detailing ownership history for each of these two cars, but didn't feel that was something I should post.
Mecum now lists a 2nd Dino up for auction in Monterey. This one is a 1972 246GT with Daytona chairs and headlamp covers. No pictures posted yet, nor do they list any target price range. http://www.mecum.com/auctions/lot_detail.cfm?LOT_ID=CA0811-113229&entryRow=379 That now makes (4) Dino's at Monterey; - Russo & Steele has (1) - RM has (1) - Mecum has (2)
Hmmmm... I stay pretty much in tune with these prices.. Did much of my Dino buy and sell in late 80's, Back Then it approached this number by dont think it topped that #.. I dont recall that record level in 2008. can you verify??...or who sold it, dealer, auction or private
I would like a closer look at those flares before I make a conclusion, but those pictures make them look different than the factory ones. Could be the photos too...but true Flares do not extend outward exactly on the horizontal
