Hey,how about the July issue of the F.O.C's Monthly Publication,'Pilota'. There are 2 Articles this Month from Midwest Region Members. One by Dave about the Wisconsin Drive. And,one by Andreas about the Lombard Lilac Parade that we attended.

But....the coolest thing...There is a "Member Tribute" of the "30th. Anniversary of the Ferrari 308". And,there are Full Color Pix of many 308's from around the Country. And,from the Midwest Region,we have (Arranged by Year):

    Louise Stahly- 1978 308GTS
    Dan Gheorghe- 1979 308GT4
    Frank Wiedmann-1981 308GTSi
    Bernie Berry- 1982 308GTSi
    Dave Bendl- 1983 308GTSi
    Andreas Forrer- 1984 308GTSi
    Dan Giacalone- 1985 308GTSi

Jeremy Lawrence is making a '308 Registry',if anyone wants to be added.

    Sweet.

Hey Frank - meant to ask - where'd you get that nasty poke on the driver's rear of your car? Ouch.

I was going to put a 'Band-Aid' over it,and write "Don't Ask" on it.....:)

Well,it was a very stupid move on my part. Normally,as I pull up into my Driveway. I hit the Garage Door opener. And,while I wait for the Door to completely open. I put my Cooler,or whatever I have, outside the Car Door. Pull the Car in. And,grab the stuff as I go in the House.

Well, one day,I wasn't paying attention, and thought that I was in Neutral, and let my foot off the Clutch. the Car leaped forward, and the open door hit a Bolt on the side of the garage door....Ouch!

So,I have been hemming and hawing about painting the car. Sure,I can get it really nice and shiny. But,I have some Checking in the paint in some spots. Swirls. A couple teeny little dings. And....That....:( But,I do like the fact that I don't have to be totally freaking out about the Paint right now. So,come Winter time,I will take it somewhere, maybe 'Custom Cars' in LaGrange, and see if they can just take cars of that Scratch, and anything else. And maybe Buff the car out,and apply a few coats of Clear Coat over it,so as to keep the original Paint. But,put a nice polyurethane coat over it to protect it. We'll see.

I'd like to keep it for a long time. I am very happy with that Car. So,a really nice paint job would definitely be worth it....But,then I'm back to the "totally freakin' out with the paint" thing. So,I think the plan for right now is to just get it back to looking nice.and just taking care of the Boogers. I can get her looking really nice and shiny. I suppose that I "over rate" the flaws,as,I have always been,or tried to be,a perfectionist when it comes to my Cars. Even old Work beaters that I had....Polish,Wax,Detail,Armor All....it's a sickness, man,a sickness....:)
