Does anyone know how to jump start a 355? I can't figure the manual out and I have no idea where the batter is. And it looks like from the manual you can jump it from somewhere else too??? Please help. Thanks

The battery is actually inside the passenger front fender, but no need to get to it for jumping. In the engine bay off the passenger side, there is a black metal lateral cover held with 3 screw with allen heads. Once you remove it, you will see the battery connection terminals. The positive is cover by a plastic lid with big old + marked on top. Good luck!

    Hey bartman,

YOu remove the accesss cover ont he rt side of the engine, three 6mm hex bolts I think. UNder there is a box about 2 by 2 inches, this holds the positive terminal, it will have a red cross on it. next to it on the frame is the negative ground lug.

hope this helps. Let me know if you need more.

    Good luck man.

Picture worth a thousand words... 355 is notorious for draining battery. If it does not hold charge well, may be it is time for a new battery which mean pulling the right passenger wheel out to access the panel to the battery. Good luck

bought a battery tender for 50$ and leave it attached to the car. no more problems with mine plus they make a quick connect so its even easier. live in the northeast part of the country and in the winter on severe cold days battery drained way to fast. no problems since

Jump starting a car with a dead battery and then using the alternator to charge the battery put an INSANE amount of load on the alternator.

I have seen people replace a bad alternator and not charge the battery with a charger...The result....another fried alternator.

Under consistent load the alternator could get so hot you could smell the burning insulation and so hot you could not touch it.
