It is going to be hot, but I'll be there. MM will be there as well. If you want to go, register here: http://www.thedriversedge.net/02_tracks.htm

If you haven't been before, this is what you get: classroom instruction, an instructor in your car, and approximately four 20-25 minute sessions each day. That's a lot of track time!

    Cost/Seat Time Benefit Calcuations:
-- drag racing - $10 to $20 for four runs (est.) = 1 minute of seat time for basically four 13-15 second runs. That's, given the low side, ten bucks a minute!
-- autocross - $20 (non-members, up to 30 for special events) = 4 one minute sessions, best of 45 seconds, or if you are slow, you can get your money's worth, sorta, but you won't be fast. That's $5 a minute of seat time!
-- HPDE (high performance driving event) such as The Driver's Edge = $275 (others vary). 4 x 25 minute sessions x 2 days = 200 minutes (or 3.3 hours) of tracktime = 72 cents a minute of track time!

Yes, other costs do add up and the experiences from autocrossing and karting will make you faster out on the track. Hope to see you out there!

If you are looking for a hotel room, and do not wake up neighbors when you snore, let me know. I have an extra bed at the elegant, the lovely, the very exclusive, Manor House Inn.
