Khanh wanted me to draw his blu sera Testarossa in a scene that he'd envisioned. Here's what he sent me:

"How about a blu sera TR taking a curve atop a hill coming down a narrow country road in the midst of autumn, the roadtop is littered with red and gold leaves"

Here's a work in progress so far (the car looks slightly skewed and out of perspective because I took the quick digi photo at a weird angle...haha):

Thanks Alex! I just added another quick image that isn't as totally screwed up perspective wise.

Looks great, but the front is too low, and the side mirrors too long.

I think if the side mirrors were a tad shorter it would look perfect.

If there seems something wrong, then there's something wrong with the photo, not with the actual drawing. I'm sure it will be perfect.

Great coloring! Love blu sera (275 GTS Spyder NART # 10453!)

Big red, Thanks for the critique. Yes the front does appear a little low, but you'll see why later today...I should be able to post the full drawing later...we'll see.

GTE, thanks for the comments/critque. Blu sera does like awesome...something I'd never really noticed before... Is #10453 Steve McQueen's old ride? That's a nice looking car.

    Thanks

Its fine, remember the road is sloping downhill ...

Awesome painting - I love the fog lamp the best - it looks incredibly real :)

I think it looks awesome so far. And it will look a lot better when you finish it/ get the scenery in there. Keep it up!

It's coming along. The color sombo is what makes the drawing, and you get the credit for that...I don't think I'd have come up with that idea.

You got it...gotta keep in mind the car is getting ready to crest a hill and the road is sloping downwards towards the viewer.

Thanks! Like I said earlier...the scenery and colors make the drawing. Not that the Testarossa isn't a work of art in it's own right...

Believe it or not...I use Copic markers for the majority of my color work (for all the colors you can get "refill" botles and when you take out the drawing nibs, you can re-flash the markers by adding more ink to them by pouring it in the center of the marker) and they also offer unmolested "blank" markers for sale and you can mix and match your own inks/colors to create your own color. Well, that's what I ended up doing with the blue to try and get a blu sera match. Glad to hear you think it looks right!
