new member here from the uk!!
i was warned of this randall guy from a member of ferrarichat.....but unfortunately i had already paid for these so called chips for my "91" 348tb of ebay from this guy eh!... whats he called again? "-R"... or was it "Randy" .....cant remember he keeps changing his name!(wonder why)....anyway bought these "brand new never used" chips from him...first of all he stung me for the postage...when they arrived more than half the small legs on the pair of chips were all bent and one was broken off, luckily i got a friend who soldered it back on though....
i then booked the car in to a place here in scotland "star performance" for installation and 2 dyno runs, first run: car standard chips ,second run :randalls performance chips........ok! here we go!... first run:"91" 348 tb with cat bypass pipes ansa sports exhaust,k&n filter= 327.5bhp,,242 lbf-ft...............second run exact same car but with the "amazing randys chips"=324bhp,,240lbf-ft.........slightly less power!!!!(probably due to the car being slightly hotter on second run).... jim at "star performance" confirmed to me that studying all data I HAVE PURCHASED NOTHING OTHER THAN STANDARD CHIPS!!!!!the only difference is me being in total $600 worse off!!
I contacted randall who gave me all the excuses etc etc and had no intensions of refunding me ..............so all i could do was leave negative feedback on ebay and contact all his bidders on ebay warning them...and i will continue to!!!IF ONLY I HAD JOINED FERRARICHAT EARLIER AND LEARNED ABOUT THIS SCAMMER!!!!WE ALL CANT BE WRONG!!!!
P.S ANYBODY ANY JOY GETTING A REFUND FROM EBAY IN A SITU LIKE THIS

If you paid via Credit Card (Visa, MC or Amex) - you could contact the CC company and tell them that the goods you bought were not as expected and the store will not take refunds. They will sometimes refund you and pick it up via their insurance.

If his eBAY sale claimed these were performance boosting chips, or otherwise missrepresented the chips, then you have grounds for filing a fraud claim with eBAY. If you paid with PayPal, they also have a fraud claim service that you can file with.

    PAYPAL RECOVERS:
My only eBAY/PayPal fraud was when I bought a copy of Adobe Illustrator for $60 & paid with PayPal. Knew something was wrong when PayPal reported the funds were transferred to a '.RU' domain instead of a US domain (seller listed himself as being in FL.

Anyway, after 4 weeks the software hadn't shown up, & the seller wasn't responding to eMAIL. Went to eBAY & 5 others had the same experience.
We all filed fraud reports with eBAY & PayPal. About 2 months later, I got eMail from PayPal saying they'd recovered my $60.

Hats off to them for recovering an international scam!

    It's an expensive auto-property trader.
I just checked, his ad is gone. He was selling a 348 with all sorts of mods done to it, and he claimed it to have as much h.p. as a 355. At the end of the ad there was his email address.
