    just put a deposit on a 2011 panamera turbo, to use as a daily driver. black on black,sport chrono pkg, any impressions from other owners on the everyday experience of living with this everymans super car???

    got it this past thursday, have not had time to take some pics, but i must say i am truly impressed with this car, scary fast, grips like on rails and comfortable enough to drive daily.

    I had a black on black Turbo with ceramic brakes.
    Scary fast...really really fast...but sterile feeling.
    Sold it, and now have a Granturismo S.

    agreed on all points, but as my daily driver it fits the bill perfectly, also i considered a quattroporte, but i really wanted all wheel drive , a must here in nyc. I have V8 Vantage for the weekends.( not nearly as fast , but more of a sports car, loud , and chugs like a train)

    thanks , i am enjoying it, My father saw it , he liked it so much he went and bought himself a 2014 panamera S five days later, i considered a new one but really wanted the V8 turbo, new ones are V6 twin turbos.

    The "S" was originally a V8, now a V6 Turbo with more power. The GTS remains a normally aspirated V8 with more power than before. The Turbo is still a V8 twin turbo and the power has increased. The Turbo S has not been released yet.

    I had a 2010 Turbo and absolutely loved it. There was no downside to using it for a daily driver except maybe the width. It certainly filled a parking space.

    I have an S with another S on order (ought to be here next month). For my purposes, I love the Panny as a DD. I dont need the turbo as I have a 458 in the garage for excitement!

    i only considered the Panamera because it was a turbo, i was not very high on it originally , but after test drive, i felt very comfortable making it my DD,i have an Aston Vantage for a more raw and sporty drive. My father just got a Panamera S 2014. and very nice 458 you have there

    I also have an 11 Panamera Turbo. Bought it about 3 months ago. It is the perfect daily driver for me. Not as much personality as my 599 but they are different cars for different purposes. My previous DD was a 2008 S63. Only had that one about 9 months because it drove and handled like a station wagon.

    I just traded in my 2010 panny turbo for a gl, needed an suv. Out of all of the porsches i have had or driven , i really hated it. Had some annoying rattles and some frustrating mechanical tranny sounds i couldnt overcome. Its neither a sports car, nor a decent 4 door (s class) nor an suv. I feel like they compromised on all fronts to make that car happen.....
    Maybe i got a lemon.....depreciation was frustrating, mine was a silver 156k car and with 18k miles i traded it in for 80k. I hope you have better experience with it than i did

    I did receive in the mail a massive book on the new panamera, they must be trying to generate some excitement, but it looked only facelifted to me.

    sorry to hear that , but i believe that was the first year of production for the panamera, i tend to shy away from first year runs on new models, for all the reasons you stated above,
    also i bought used so that big depreciation hit was taken by first owner not me. enjoy your GL it is a very nice truck.
