Time to get cracking. 1. Maybe a bit optimistic but maybe they are dimmed super low? 2. This is the first thing you will need to take care of. Pull off the side engine covers in the engine bay and look around by the forward area where the tanks are. You can search in here for fuel thank issues to learn of cracking plastic pump parts and roll over valve problems. 3. ?? 4. I think this is one of those things where you need the proprietary Ferrari tech computer to sort but you may find some help in here of where to check 5. I wouldn't be driving until you get a diagnostic tool and start reading the error codes from the port near the steering wheel. There are some cheap ones out there that can let you get a feel for what the car thinks is wrong. 6. I can't help you with this but a fresh fluid change of the F-1 system is what I would do first. 7. Lets see pics of this. 8. You can tackle this yourself with some care and rubbing alcohol and a few dozen terry cloth rags 9. Get a new one to start and use the master off knob in the front trunk when you swap it out. 10. Battery related? If not there is not a lot to the system so you will find help here 11. As long as they have air you are good till you sort the engine issues! Post often and use lots of pics along the way if you can. Good luck!
Everyone is...because we won't have tapatalk integration for "a few weeks" (IIRC) per the F-chat staff.
Keep the faith!! Don't drive much until you have the clutch PIS set properly - that's why your reving it to get it moving - that will wear the clutch fast. If your doing it yourself get a computer - Autoenginuity will work for everything you need to do except the airbag. I bought a salvage (3000mile) Scud at AIIA for double the money you spent, it is the best thing I ever bought. Now I track it and drive it on the street and no one (I haven't told) has a clue it cost me 1/2 price and salvage. PM me if you need help. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/saving-a-scuderia.497339/
Oh my.... That's a laundry list. I personally will not buy a Salvage title car even if it's a car worth $20k that I can get for $10k. There's just too many things that could happen IMHO. Hopefully this is all that is in store and nothing more are hidden. I bought my 360 for just a little more than yours with clean title and only had 18k miles at that time. That's after a little over a year of search though, maybe I've been a very patient buyer. lol! In any case, enjoy! It's a Ferrari and pretty sure after everything is sorted out it will be a blast to drive. Don't think of reselling anytime soon and just make it yours to make all the money you will spend worth. Cheers!
Not bad couple dings I'm going to have taken care of and some sticky parts. I am going to be doing some work next couple of days
The sticky parts aren't as bad as people make them out to be, or at least maybe my car wasn't that bad. I take things apart and pull out of the car, spray WD-40 on the parts, let sit for a minute or two, then dry with a paper towel, then wet another paper towel with isopropyl alcohol and buff out. It comes off surprisingly easy. From what I can see, I think you got a good deal if you aren't worried about resale and just want a fun car for yourself for relatively cheap. You have a list of things to fix that don't sound that expensive, especially if you do the work yourself. There are people that paid full market value for a car that had records, PPI, and still needed expensive work within 6 months. It's a gamble any way you look at it, just slightly better odds for the maintained cars.
craig-waterman.com is the guy who did my tcu swap and program crazy how cheap he charged me i offered him more money i felt bad he put in some hours
CORRECT!! Couple weeks to implement, but the current interface mobile with firefox is decent to tide you over. Just login like you would normally. D
