Please tell me this is the last CBS race for the year, or did CBS buy the USGP as well?

Just a shame that Sheheen and Daly or Sullivan weren't interviewing Al-Zarqawi (SP?) last night. OK that's a bit harsh... But I wouldn't have lost any sleep over it.

Damn your mean Simon. But CBS really does blow, and thank god we don't have to listen to Daly on Speed TV. I remember when he was on and got all excited about IRV the Swerve....

I guess I'll watch the race live on the computer and not bother with watching on the tube - after 5 minutes of watching Monaco I politely asked to have that bs turned off and went about other business for the remainder of the day. Thank goodness this is the last CBS one.

I can tolerate the commentators. But I can't stand the time delay. That is so totally annoying to be off TV/internet until the middle of the day when in reality it is all over.

Also there is the constant threat that the local CBS affiliate just might drop the race out of the program if some "celebrity" is having another baby/plane crash/car crash/whathaveyou.

I'd like to echo everything you just said. F1 race weekends are the only weekends I don't mind waking up before the sun rises, so why must they make me wait till the middle of the day only to hear commentators that don't know what's going on. I don't think I would mind CBS's commentators if I could watch the race live, but it only makes me more disgusted with the coverage when it's delayed.

I think we are just spoiled because Hobbs and Varsha do such a good job. Just think, at least we don't have to listen to Paul Page.

I love the Speed team now.

I couldn't stand Rick the Fool or Sam Posey. Varsha, Hobbs, Matchett - the best!

I think Speed definately has the best line up with Varsha, Hobbs, and Matchett. I couldn't stand Rick Da Fool and Sam Posey could be quite annoying at times. However, one guy I miss from ESPN days is John Bisiango.

Isn't Canada supposed to be first race in HDTV ?

I'd love to watch F1 in High Def even on CBS

That's what I don't get. Here we go out and buy HDTV sets (got 3 in the house already), but such limited stations broadcast in HD. You would think all and any type of sport would be in HD.

    *sigh*
