A nice video about the owner of the 1988 Ferrari 288 GTO, 1987 Ferrari 288 GTO Evo, 1990 Ferrari F40, 1995 Ferrari F50 and 2003 Ferrari Enzo which were presented at Quail Motorsports Reunion in Carmel: Just Cool Cars: David Lee owns nine Ferraris

He drove his GTO to the Pasadena event back in May. Since he didn't get there early, when all of the other cars were pulling in for registration, he just parked his GTO in a parking lot around the corner, and humbly strolled through the show to check out all of the other cars. Nice guy.

    The F40 is 86840 which I supplied.

The F50 is one of the pre-production examples, and the 288 GTO is a very late car, a 1985, by the way (not 1988!).

"Norm512TR...I just went directly to David Lee Roth, ha!"

So did I, but that may have been due to listening to old Van Halen while driving around yesterday & the recent discussion of Sammy Hagar's LaF. Seriously though, I recall some nice pics of his F-car lineup on this forum a few months ago, and this is a very interesting article about the man:

I think the article was referring to his GTO Evo, which is an '88.

79888 was delivered to Jacques Swaters in 1988, but the car was seen @ Fiorano and elsewhere in 1987. Perhaps Marcel can clarify, but I actually have this car in my notes as a 1986 build, and Ive received information from Nicola Materazzi suggesting that it was built in late 1986.

Anyway, David Lee is selling it via Ferrari Beverly Hills.
