Just out of curiosity, how many times do you get the middle finger driving your F car?

Seem's from my experience, I just can't seem to drive the car right according to other peoples standards.

I drive too slow, get cursed at, get blown off, cut off, etc, "you think you own the road" comments

I drive too fast (anything 5mph over speed limit), middle fingers, cursed at, "dickhead" comments

I'm stopped at a light, *****mixture of "Beautiful Car!!!", "Is that a ferrari???" or "rich prick!!" and i've determined you have about a 4 second less acceptable reaction time to the light than any other car before a horn follows

When merging, as example last night, drivers seem to have to speed up to intentionally not let you in, (ok, fine, Ill stay back) next guy honks and won't let you in, and again, Middle finger, and instantly i'm the a**hole again

Stay back from other cars to not get stone chips, "you think you own the road"

Take time to exit or enter a steep parking lot incline/decline, instant horn

Now I purchased my MT 360 for myself. I wanted the engaging driving experience. The "sounds" the noises. I didn't buy to "impress" others.

I suppose there is a certain impression with people about who I am when I drive my F car, If I were driving my escalade or chevy pickup I wouldn't even get so much as a head shake.

The joys of driving and enjoying your car. what a thrill "sharing" it with others wether you intend to or not.

Can't say I have of yet from 2 years of ownership. 360 MT spider. I find Perth ppl in Australia move out the way for me and wave me on to go past with a bit of speed and noise. Well that's how I interpret it haha

I have been fortunate to have had Ferraris since my late 20's and very rarely do I get anything negative. Back in the day I would get, "Hey buddy. Out in daddy's car"? comments, and the like. For the better part of 30 years, its usually been positive.

I do remember one Friday night I was out for a drive in the 348 (roof off), with my younger brother, when a 300ZX 2+2 pulled up next to us with 2 couples in it. The driver starts yelling over about driving daddy's car, etc. My brother wanted to start something, but I told him to just ignore him. The light changes and we move on. We get caught at the next light and the same thing happens. At the 3rd light, the harassment continues. We just ignore him. Finally, at the 4th light I could take no more and I interrupted the driver while he was ranting and said. "Don't hold me responsible for the poor choices you've made in life. I probably make more money in a week, than you make in a year, and you should actually be paying more attention to your pretty date than to some guy in a Ferrari, or chances are she will be sitting next to me next week".

His passengers started laughing at him. His buddy slapped him in the head. The light turned green, his girlfriend smiled at me and we took off. Job done! :)

Those were fun days. Now I get, "Excuse me sir. May I take a picture of your car"?

They made a 4 seater for a while. That was one of the rare instances in life that I didn't suffer from delayed intelligence!

Those seats had about 3 total inches of legroom...used to own a Stealth RT/TT. Could barely fit a hamster back there.

I have about 30k miles driving a Ferrari on the road and have NEVER been flipped off. Only time I thought someone was trying to get my attention to flip me off turned out just to be Ryalex in Dallas. :D However, I hardly get any thumbs up anymore. When I drive the '70 Boss 302 I can't go a mile without someone waving or giving me the thumbs up.

I got the finger and lots of hand gestures and the occasional slur when I had my 360. I've only had one comment so far in my Lambo. The difference in response is night and day, really. People seem happy to see/film the Lambo. I didn't get that 1/10th as much with the Ferrari.

Had some negative reactions in a Scud, never in 599 and always positive in a Gallardo.

I happen to get a video... Look for the hand gesture in the f150 as I was merging...

Two lanes at the light, only the LEFT lane can turn onto the one way street, and he was the second vehicle stopped at the light in the left lane, Both cars happen to go straight instead of turning left.

And you're spot on with Gallardo. I've always had positive reactions, kids love it.

^ Dude. You're a handsome young guy, driving a bright red Ferrari, top down, gorgeous day, and with a lovely young lady. He's trying to tell you that you're living the good life with his limited vocabulary! [emoji6]

I'm like Rob, in nearly a year & 7 K miles of ownership, most of those miles in and around little towns around DFW that F-cars are rarely seen, nothing but thumbs up, nice words and the like.

Every time one of these types of threads appears, I wonder if the F-car color, model, exhaust note, driving style contribute to the drama? Laugh it off, jolt. You seem to be doing well for yourself.

Well, I'm a coastal elite and life is good in Florida. I get nothing but positive reactions in my Ferrari Testarossa and Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster. The Ferrari gets a wave or thumbs up but the Lamborghini brings out all the camera phones and people revving their engine at you.

Also, I find people do things to test you...to see your expression. Since I'm laid back and have a good sense of well-being, I always respond with humor. ....and I can see their own attitude change.

I'm in the Bay Area and don't get any rude jesters I haven't probably deserved, lol.

Years ago I remember reading in here that we need to properly represent the brand. I can't say I always do that, but I try.

I live in the Dallas area and drive through all those same cities. I received plenty of gestures over my 360 and I assure you, it was not my driving style. Half the time, I was parked when it happened, like at a gas station. Haters exist and a red Ferrari seems to bring out the worst of the rich haters.

Why I don't get the same thing in the Huracan, I don't know. But it's a very real difference, even down to the people in my neighborhood. When walking they wave to me in every vehicle I own except the 360. Everyone frowned.

    "Delayed intelligence". :)

I love that phrase. Happens to me every time-- the good comeback occurs to me a few hours later. Yours was awesome though. Kudos!

As to the OP, class envy is growing by leaps & bounds these days. :(

I asked someone this when they commented. A guy at a car stereo place said when they say the Ferrari, they were sure they wouldn't like me (or my husband) because they see it as a status of wealth in the **** category. But the Lambo, he claims, the general masses see as an owner who is "like them" but made some money.

I am the same person in both cars. Same person I was before I bought the cars, so I don't know what else to say. Clearly, it's all a perception thing.
