Hello all, I apologize for posting some less then happy news in an otherwise upbeat and positive forum, but I recently got laid off from a Great law firm downtown (Inner Harbor). I have been a long time lurker enjoying many an article/discussion/argument/story over the past year but as of today find myself unemployed. Since i have seen some talk of employment over the past year here I figured it could not hurt to post my resume here. If anybody has any thoughts / ideas, I would love to hear them. Here is my resume and if somebody knows someone who might be able to help me I would be very appreciative.

Thanks again and on the brighter side…. 11 days untill Melbourne!!!

Sorry to hear about that, what a bummer of a day. One suggestion, I work in IT at Discovery Communications. Check out our website: http://corporate.discovery.com/careers/careers.html

There should be a number of IT positions open. See if anything fits. I wish you well. Days like today is what makes other days better.

    Good Luck!

Best of luck. From my perspective, Discovery is a great place to work. We have excellent benefits and a beautiful building. We are constantly investing in our infrastructure. Every single cubicle in our new building has gigabit ethernet, fiber optics, phone and cable! Not everybody uses it but the capacity is there. We have over 1000 people in IT. We did just have some layoffs in some of the production areas so you never know. But, otherwise, its a great place to be.

Hope you find what you are looking for.
