Finally after a couple months (I think??) or close to it got my 1999' 355 GTS F-1 back in "MY" garage!!! It's Saturday night had a lot of misc. stuff done in addition to a complete clutch. I CAN'T WAIT TILL SHE GET'SOUT OF THE FU'IN SHOWER SO WE CAN GO ALREADY!!! I think I'm the ONLY guy who goes though this .................. CLUTCH 56,OOO MILES H.I.D'S lighting (THEY LOOK AWESOME!!) REPLACE ENTIRE PARKING BRAKE CABLE CAT BYPASS COMPUTER THINGS (to fool computer) FULL AUTO DETAILING (my guy is great!!) OIL CHANGE (MOBILE 1 BABY) FILTERS CLEANED AND RE-OILED(K&N'S) ALIGNMENT (LASER TYPE) REAR BRAKES (1ST TIME FOR ME) TOUCH-UP PAINT CHIPS (MIGH AS WELL) DIAGNOSE ISSUE W/ RADIO (ALPINE) (SIMPLE) RE-MOUNT UNDERBODY PARTS REPAIRED (FROM THE RHINOSAURAS HEAD I RAN OVER A COUPLE MONTHS AGO) REPLACE INNER AND OUTER CV BOOTS ( REPLACE A/C SWITCHING RELAY THING(A/C WAS FREEZING UP AND SHUTTING DOWN) SWAP OUT COOLANT (WATER WETTER) REPAIR TO A/C SYSTEM AND REFILL (IT'S 115 DEGREES TODAY!!) REPLACE LEAKING AXLE FLANGE (I HAVE NO IDEA??) INSTALL FAN OVER-RIDE SWITCHES AT DASH (SO I CAN MANUALLY TURN ON ALL FANS AND BYPASS COMPUTERS THERMOSTAT,REMEMBER WERE IN AZ ......JUST IN CASE!!) WELL THAT'S ENOUGH FOR ME WAS'NT CHEAP BUT IT'S "MY FERRARI DAMMIT!! AND SHE'S WORTH EVERY PENNY TO ME !!!! Theres nothing in the world like heading down the freeway at 2 am (RADIO OFF) and listening to this car scream!!! MY355
Bill, Good to know she is doing well... I spoke with Andy about the bypass pipes and the device. Andy mentioned he was still making adjustment a couple weeks ago. Please let me know there is no check engine light and all for the next few days, and I will be talking to Andy to about my straight pipe project. BTW, does it sound much louder. My tubi already makes a lot of nosie. Thanks! Enjoy the Music! Ken
I drove for a total 2 hours so far and no check engine light .I normally would see it by now.I'll post status after next weekend after running a full tank of fuel through it,that should pretty much guarentee all's well. AS FAR AS DOES THE STRAIGHT PIPES MAKE IT LOUDER ,at idle and lower rpm it's a "different tone" but only a little louder(controllable when in a residential area for instance).maybe 5% louder..... There is a lets say 15% louder @ full or near full throttle and anyone who is annoyed by this would have been annoyed anyway by the Tubi's .Usually the only comments I get in reference to the sound are very ,very positive and then lots of compliments that follow. Thanks, I get good compliments for the Tubi as well. Since I only drive my car on the weekends, noise would not bother me. Have you noticed the better throttle response, faster rpm, etc after test pipes installed? That is why I wanna test pipes. I remember my old tubo cars would rev much faster from freeing up the exhaust (no cats), and very noticeable different in rpm spooling.
