They're having an AWESOME time in Rome...!!!

They got a private tour of the vatican...! They spent twenty minutes in the Sistine Chapel...! They've been to the Pantheon and a whole bunch of other incredible, historical places...!

Also, he said he's spotted four Ferraris since he got there, including a black F430 Spider ripping around town...!

How does one manage to get a private tour of the Vatican? Their vacation sounds tremendous! And four Ferraris....well, that just completes it! :)

Well, he said there were 26 people in the group, total... Apparently, they went to the vatican as regular visitors one morning... He said everyday, an average of about 17,000 people show up and he said you feel like a sardine getting pushed through the whole way... But either it was earlier tonight or last night, a private tour was held and he and Josie were part of it... Josie went on for about ten minutes about the unbelievable artwork in the Sistine Chapel...

He's gonna have to sell his 328 when he gets home, just to pay for the phone call, but it was great hearing from them... They are having an awesome time...!

The vatican and sistine chapel are truley amazing. You can take a tour (50 or 75 Euro if I remember correct) or walk it yourself (10 Euro). I was there last November. I took tons of pics (well, not many in the Sistine chapel since they prohibit it.. lol). Pictures definitely do not do Rome or any of the historic places justice.

If you hear from them again tell them to check out the Trevi Fountains. Simply amazing both day and night. The Collesium is also a tremendous tour to take.

Will do, though, i imagine either he's already been or has every intention of going... Having been to Italy once already, he's pretty familiar with it all and the culture and heritage run pretty strong in his family, so he's really in touch with all of his history... i can't wait to see his pictures and hear more of his trip...!

Well, I'm back. What an amazing vacation! The private Vatican Museum tour was certainly a highlight. We actually had the entire Capella Sistina (Sistine Chapel) to ourselves for 45 minutes. It was a very pleasant surprise! The Trevi Fountain is another one of my favorite spots. We enjoyed some gelato there after dinner one night. I was very sad to leave. Some day I'd like to move there. Their pace of life suits me more naturally.

Sounds like an awesome trip Gus! I spent some time in Rome as well...Sistine Chapel, Trevi Fountain, Collesium, etc...It was absolutely unbelievable!

Here are a few shots from my trip...I was lucky enough to be in San Pietro when a Liege-Rome-Liege road rally came driving through...I got to talk with a few of the owners and look at some of the cars up close...way cool! I also threw in a few shots of cars I took from my hotel room. There was nothing like standing on my balcany and watching Ferraris rip through the square in the middle of the night at full throttle...the sound echoed off of the buildings!

ya we did the same thing maybe 4 years ago. one hell of an expereince. my parents booekd a private tour of the vatican, just the 5 of us and a guide, and it was awesome. we spent a week in rome and a week staying in a villa in a town outside sienna called asciano and made day trips to florence and siena and whatnot. i was bummed, i saw 2 360s, a 575 in a shop window, and a nice 3200 GT in my entire 2 weeks there. glad to see you guyd had more luck than me. i can tell you though, even from a kid of age 14 at the time, there is no possible way you can spend only a week in rome alone. i hope to back to italy for 4-6 weeks this summer. glad to see you had a great time.

also Jordan when did you go? they were super anal about us not getting pics of the sistene chapel. i tried to just take one from my waist more or less and some dude still caught me and scolded me.

o ya and one of the best parts was- i had a full pizza and more every single night, accompanied by a glass of wine. every night. only 14 years old. i loved it
