Just how bad does my car sound?

Some of you have had the pleasure of hearing the wonderful exhaust note that my 360 now produces. Like a fine wine review, it's received raves such as "deep rich flavor with subtle hints of hickory and Honda" and "complex palate like that of a dying raccoon".

But this is how bad it is:

On the way to Rob's holiday party, I was driving along the Palisades. I saw a state tropper pull on, so down I went to 55 and in I went to the right lane. We drove alongside each other for a few minutes, when all of a sudden he lit up the cherries and down I went.

This is not a joke.

NYSP: "Good evening."

Me: "Good evening officer."

NYSP: "I have a question for you."

Me: "Shoot -- er, not literally."

NYSP: <chuckle> "Sir, what the HECK is wrong with your exhaust? DAMN I mean, that sounds AWFUL. I've heard Ferraris, and that just isn't right."

Me: <incredulous> "Officer, I'm speechless."

NYSP: <still laughing> "Ok, well, you have a good night and just get that fixed...you're giving Ferrari a bad name!"

Oddly enough, same as Hubi's....silenced straight pipes + tubi. Obviously there's something wrong, though....trying to track down what that is, however, is proving more difficult than I'd hoped....
