    Hello:

    I just joined but cannot see any pictures that have been posted in threads. I keep checking my setup info and can't see a problem. Sorry if the question is off topic, but can anyone point me in the right direction, please? I notice in the "Posting Rules" box at the bottom of the screeen it says my IMG and HTML code is OFF. Should this be on?

    Firstly welcome to Fchat.

    If you are looking at posts that are more than about 2 weeks old then the pics have been temporarily been lost as a result of a hard disk failure - see announcement at top of page.

    hi Jim,
    Pics from old posts, ie 2 weeks and older, are missing because of a hard disk failure on Fchat's server. The Administrator is doing his best to recover them.

    when you get your sight back, have a look at the sticky at the top of the section about the Scotland tour - local to you. We will even let the 350 in if you haven't f'd by then! (aren't we sweet?)

    Hi,
    Are you using a Mac to access fchat ?
    If so that is the problem.
    Apparently it is a problem with the Mac version of microsoft ie (and they have no intention of fixing it.
    I am not a techie so cannot tell you more.

    but then if you are on a Mac the point is to avoid using microsoft products as much as poss. It works fine in Safari or any of the Mozilla based browsers

    Yep IE on the Mac doesn't work on FChat or some other sites, I've changed to Safari

    That looks like a replica to me. Real ones suffer more from the effects of gravity and poor handling.

    Robgvx: Yes, I'm logged in and that's what I thought it was at first, so I went through the registration process. But thanks for the suggestion. Has to be the database problem as I can definitely see the pic at the top of the thread. Or can I, hang on I'll check again and see...
