Just Lost My 2nd Friend Because...

I've always felt you should never do business, talk about and loan money to friends and family. At the end of the day, I rather have a beer and laugh with them.

 

Sounds kind of shady to me. What business is this?

 

I too, got soured on doing business with friends. In my younger days, I started two businesses. The first one I did on my own and was the more satisfying of the two. The other, went into it with some friends. As Brainz alluded to, I was the frustrated hard worker picking up the slack. The others grew complacent at the first whiff of sucess. Instead of honing our craft and broadening our markets, my b'ness partners were living it up. I took the financial hit and walked away. Soon later, the company just fell apart and I'm still surprised how they managed to avoid any lawsuits from the clientele.
