Hello FerrariChat, Haven't been on this website in a while. I have been very busy, I just moved to the urban area. I was born in Serbia, then move to Minnesota, then the western suburbs of this city (made friends, but hated every second of it), and now I live in Evanston and go a few miles to downtown Chicago every morning. Absolutely love it so far. I was just wondering what are the best shows, dealerships, meets, etc. to see Ferrari's and other exotics at. I've been to Bentley/Bugatti Gold Coast so many times that I've seen 4 Veyron's already, are there any other exotic dealerships in downtown Chicago or "North Shore"? Are there ever FCA or FChat meetings in the city or somewhere close? Or Cars and Coffee? I love outdoors meetings, any Concours d'Elegance? Any suggestions would be great. Please keep it to the city of Chicago and "North Shore"
Ferrari dealers : Lake Forest Sport Cars in Lake Bluff and Continental Autosport in Hinsdale. Both are super friendly and often have open house events to watch F1 or introduce new car. Check them on Facebook. There is a yearly Ferrari Lunch in downtown around August at the italian village. Not sure if this year is still on? Several concours around illinois. One in Lake Geneva, one in Barrington, on in Milwaukee (august) and one in Michigan (Near Ann Harbor) in 2 weeks. We have 2 different cars and coffee. One is ever last sat of the month in Flossmoor, south of chicago and another is every first saturday of the month. Check Supercar saturday on facebook. Thats it! Enjoy before the winter comes back..
If you're into carspotting, Highland Park, Lake Forest, Glenview, Evanston, Wilmette or Skokie are good places to see nice cars.
Wow, thank all you very much for your suggestions! I will look these up and you will see me there hopefully. Especially the Ferrari meet at The Italian Village sounds interesting, will details be posted on this forum if it is still on?
It's still on. August 14, 2011, 10:30am - 2:00pm. I'm not sure if you have to be a Ferrari Club of America member or not to participate. But you do have to register on the FCA Central States Region website. I'd check with the Ferrari Club Central States Region website for more info and a contact. http://www.fcacentralstates.org/events.php
The FCA show at Pete Miller's in Wheeling this coming weekend is a nice show too. Last year's turn out was excellent.
