I have to say, the thrill factor is right up there with the TR...funny how people react differently though to the two cars, more deference to the Viper from road racers (nobody challenged me yet) and a bit less open enthusiasm from others. Now, when I am out in the TR and someone challenges me to a drag race, I can say "Wait just a minute...I'll be right back" Haha.

Sweet! Must be hard to find the time to enjoy all those toys. Then again, I'm sure it's just a matter of priorities -- right car for any mood or occasion.

Beautiful, I love the GTS. How does the Viper compare to the TR? What do you like better/dislike?

    Nice!!

I had an 02'GTS and just over the weekend got my 06' SRT Coupe delivered from WoodHouse.

What a fantastic car!!!!!!! Race Yellow, and WoodHouse also did: Paxton Supercharger, Moton shocks and springs, Compt. oilpan, Fidenza LW flywheel, Upgraded shift linkage and shrt throw, Stoptech Rotors.

The car handles excellent and has power all over the band. They Dynoed @ 742 HP (630 RWHP)

You just go wrong with the snake!!!

    Congrats and enjoy!!

Mike, these cars are night and day. I will call the Viper night. Its rougher, but not as rough as an F40 (I am sure the Competition Coupe would be, but this is stock suspension right now). More like an F50. The TR is long lunges of power and the Viper is short bursts. I have to really watch the tach bc it goes to redline in literally half the time as the TR, if not less. Shifting is much easier on the Viper, of course, and not as much fun. You can shift sloppy, but it is smooth and a short throw. The other big thing is you have to really feather the throttle on the Viper. The TR loves to have your foot in it, and if you do that with the Viper you better be going in a straight line and rolling good in second or third gear or the car is doing a Nascar type celebration in the street. The first time you get in and drive it, its scary responsive on the throttle but you get used to it pretty quick. My only complaint is there is no dead pedal in the Viper, so I have to get used to putting my left foot on the floorboard. Also, a quirk, the TR has a mid car shift to the pedals and the Viper is the opposite, so I keep trying to put my foot on the clutch and its the brake (just when I am starting it, once you are set in there, its np). One final thing, the gas guage on the Viper seems to drop as you are watching it...no wonder there is a gas guzzler tax! The sticker says 12-21, but not the way I drive it apparently. I will be lucky to get 10 mpg. As for which is more fun, well, like someone said, it depends on the mood. ;) Jim

schackman, that sounds like one sweet ride! Did you get to drive it bf the mods? was your GTS modded out too? how do they compare? I am afraid a supercharger will be too much HP for the track. my neighbor has the entire stoptech brakes setup and says that he brakes too early on the track they are so powerful. I think I will try his bf putting them on mine. Are you going to Viper Invitational in L.V.? I hear it is one heck of a party and the track ain't bad either! Keep in touch. Jim

Yup, Gold Key edition! Needs a HP upgrade, but I am trying to keep it stock for collector value.

I did not drive my car.....but did drive another before opting for the upgrades.

I kept my GTS stock (with the exception of borla exhaust)

I like the ride, feel, and overall look of the SRT better. Stock to stock IMO the srt is an overall better car ( this will be disputed by a vast majority on looks)

I only went with the 14'' drilled stop tech rotors. The OEM calipers are Brembos and work awesome! I wanted the look of the drilled with the added benifit from the stoptechs lighter weight and cooling.

The Paxton system is great. The car will drive like normal but you have the benifit of boost when you need it. If you want it all @ WOT its there. I have heard of some of the guys on the VCA and ALLEY sites racing their supercharged cars with no real problem. In the straights they are unbeatable and even through the twisties if you know how to handle the car and not go WOT all the time.........you are untouchable.

The MOTONS are night and day. The car tracks better, gives more feed back and at speed hunkers down and wont let go.....plus it looks better being able to lower the car and also achieve a lower center. They are 7 way Club Sports and to tell you the truth I dont know what springs they used...I believe they might be Eiabach???

...........the Corsa Track Exhaust sound frickin sweet. Wide open it sounds like a Formula 1 car. High pitch gutteral wale...

Once again enjoy! I am in Greenwood IN every so often.........might have to meet up one day.

What did you do with the intake? I will look into the MOTONS, I want to lower it and it needs a bit more feedback. Do you have a wing? Ya, Brembo brakes & Stoptech rotors. Good choices.

I have the OEM intake. The Paxton system mounts up front and is belt driven. It draws air from a modified box drawing from the front scoop. Then goes into an air to water charge cooler, then into the intake. I have Aux. fuel pumps and a paxton timing module to keep everything in check.

No wing. Not a big fan. I like the spoiler wing lip that comes on the car.

I will send some photos to you in E-mail.
