Just replaced fuel injectors Tuning Question

    I Just replaced my fuel injectors and seals in my1982 308 GTSI. What i need to no is what is the process before starting the car ? Or do i just start it and start tuning ?And if so whats the process of tuning these engines. Hope that made sense

    Unless you (or someone else) messed with the CO screw on the fuel distributor there is nothing to do. Start it up and drive away.

    I'm not sure what you have in mind for tuning.

    Is the CO screw the big allen screw? If so my neighbor did now its running rich he thought he was adjusting an Edelbrock carb lol

    Big allen screw on the throttle body is for idle adjust. I don't recommend just turning all of the adjustments hoping for the best. Do a search for K-jet setup and read them. European cars through the '70's and '80's used this system and there's lots of good stuff out there on them. This site, but also Volvo, VW and Porsche sites, have really good instructions on how to make sure all is right with the Bosch CIS.

    There's more to it than can be described here. If you're not familiar with CIS mechanical injection there's a good chance of making things worse by fiddling with it. A fuel injection test set and an understanding of what it will tell you is required. Beyond idle adjustment, you'd be wise to let someone (probably not the neighbor) do it. I'll bet where you live there are a few experts nearby.

    Did you just replace the injectors with OEM size or did you go larger? Are there modifications to the engine?

    Hi hanknum i went with the Bosch Fuel Injector #0 437 502 047 with the brown Plastic Insert with little green Oring
