I was driving around my town and saw a red 348 Spider driving around and I just had to chase it. My GF refused to run the redlights and we almost lost him but we caught him turning into a Shell station.

He was a 17ish guy wearing a Ferrari jacket and he was very nice, let me take pics, opened the bonnet and showed me the engine. I was so bold as to request a short trip, very graciously. Being the gentleman that he was, he hopped in and opened my door, flipped on the radar, and crept out of the gas station(leaving my GF, that'll teach her!)

Once he had straightened up the wheels, he let her rip, throwing me back, then into second-- the back end gets squirrely, then straight again, climbing the RPM ladder all the way to redline. 3rd gear came more smoothly, although the acceleration still had me pinned in my seat. 100mph comes all to quickly, and he slows down and turns around, giving me a leisurely ride back to the gas station and my waiting Girlfriend. I'll post pics once i figure out how...

Simply resize them to about 640x480 and then when you are typing a response...scroll down to additional options, and click on the button saying MANAGE ATTACHMENTS. Browse for you pictures and upload!

ah! easy. yeah he was a young'n. You can kinda see him in a couple of the pics. He had a few pimples so definitely teens. Chris Mitchell (96impalass on here I believe) raced him awhile back in his parents' '00(i think) 'vette and won.

His father is the third owner, the first being the lead singer of whitesnake or something like that. 22k on the odometer, and it was, as you can see, quite clean. There is a fiberglass amp rack in the front and two 8"-ish subs behind the headrests. Also a nice radar built in.

I wish I would have been hanging out with you today instead of working.

another EVV resident???? How many of y'all do I have to see online only to never meet in person?

Fortunately I was not working today, but I got stuck playing pack mule for my wife at the mall (lotta big sales today, ya know...)

I've seen the 348 around though, BTW. I think it's the same one I saw two summers ago at a car show @ one of the dealerships near Lloyd and Green River (not DPatrick though...) It was being driven by someone young appearing then as well - so if this was almost 2 years ago I'd say the driver who drove you around was about 19 to 20...

hey, i'm always willing to meet a fellow Fanatic. are you going to the USGP this year? i'm always willing to caravan/carpool.

believe it or not, i completely blanked on asking about Ferrarichat. I was so excited, i lost my mind. all i could think about during was "ferrari ferrari ferrari"! Surely you can relate? I've seen it several times and (not because I'm a stalker) I know where he lives (I think it was 96impalass that was with me when we passed it in his driveway.) His other car is an Aztek!

not going to the USGP - at least I haven't planned as such just yet.

I'm starting to wonder if one of you guys are who I pulled over for reckless driving at McD's across from Eastland Mall - it was an Impala SS, some kid was pulling out of McD's and pumped a little too much and spun it sidways while there was a ton of mall traffic. This happened some time back - can't remember exactly when. Didn't write a ticket but I did call it in.

As for stalking, I don't think it applies to Ferraris or other cars of the like - it's called "investigation" - you must investigate the car's living arrangements so as to deem the owner's intentions trustworthy...

That sure was me! Small freakin world! I hit it a little too hard trying to avoid being nailed by some jerk rolling through the stop sign there.

My apologies if I was rude then, I was a little wound up from my near accident. Accidents happen right? Normally I am very calm and considerate toward Officers of the Law. Thanks for cutting me the break!

yes - that would be me. I still drive it, and half of EVV knows it quite well now so it's about time for the state to stick me into something else.... Even the "young'ins" at Castle can spot me lurkin' - I've caught some many of them either here or there or everywhere......

Hopefully the three of us can meet sometime, this time under more gracious circumstances than a near crash experience. And no, I don't have any "Get out of jail free" cards...

Sorry to hijack this thread - back to you regularly scheduled ************.
