Hi everyone. My name is Yuri and just wanted to say hello to all fellow car enthusiasts here on this board. I have been and always will be a great fan of what Ferrari has been and what Ferrari is today. Unfortunatly I am not a Ferrari owner just yet but I hope you guys won't hold that very much against me. My current weekend toy is a 94 Toyota Supra. Hope to learn a lot about these cars and maybe contribute some day also. Also I don't know if you guys are here, but I ran into a pair of Ferrais (360 and a 355) along with a Viper. It was great meeting you and thanks for letting me join you guys on the wonderful cruise. Hope to see you around some time. Here's a pic of my car.
woah that sky in the picture is awesome! welcome to fchat, hope you'll hangout in the off topic section too
Thank you. Well the Supra has been my dream car since my childhood days and with my business taking off I was able to treat myself to a present last year. Soon after a mod here and a mod there it got to where it is now. As for what exactly is on the car, well lets see, T61 single turbo, built automatic trans, 3400 rpm stall torque converter, 3in downpipe/midpipe 3.5in exhaust, Greddy 3row front mount intercooler, twin b&m trans oil coolers with Spall fans, twin in-tank walboro 255 fuel pumps, 780cc injectors, map-ecu for fuel control, inovate wideband o2 sensor, Eibach springs and Koni shocks. There are probably other little things that I am forgetting but these are the majority of the goodies. Here are some more pics of what the car looks like now and what it looked like earlier this year in my garage. It was fun doing all the upgrades but it's a lot more fun to be driving it. I'd love to meet with some of you guys around the area and get to see what you guys have. http://www.personal.psu.edu/users/a/m/amr5015/x.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b74/ascari_22222/IMG_6918.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b74/ascari_22222/IMG_6991.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b74/ascari_22222/IMG_7095.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b210/ascari_222/IMG_6036.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v256/ascari_2/single3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v256/ascari_2/single5.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v256/ascari_2/new.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v256/ascari_2/clean.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v256/ascari_2/goingin1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v256/ascari_2/car2.jpg
Thank you but that was a filter I was using. I really like to experiment with my camera. Photography is my other hobby.
Welcome. Its too bad you appeared on the tail end of the driving season, ( well the end of season for me at least. ) The local Ferrari guys are awesome, many don't have a Ferrari ( Im a former owner, ) yet would never turn back anyone. Keep your eyes posted here and you'll find some great events filled with some great people. RocketBoy
Welcome,Yuri! Feel free to join us on any Drives or Events. The best way top get to know Ferrari's are to see them up close and personal. Talk to the owners,Etc... We still have a few more drives planned for the rest of the Season.
Thank you. I will definitly attempt to make it to as many events as I can since it'll probably be a real treat to meet all of you guys. I have never been up close and personal with any Ferraris with the exception of a Mondial that used to belong and maybe still does to my high school science teacher by the name of Bruice LaForce. Maybe anyone here knows him.
You are most Welcome! Yes,that is the point of 'Why' we encourage the Younger Guys,or the Folks who just plain out Love Ferrari's,but never had a chance to get up close and personal with one,(or many...) to join up with us,both here on FChat,or in perosn at events. How I wish there were guys around like that when I was younger! There Were guys like that with Muscle Cars,Old cars,'Vettes. And is probably why I got into those cars so much when I was a teen and in my 20's. ( Not to mention,a hell of alot less expensive than a Ferrari to own and maintain.) But,it would have been nice to be able to get up close and see a Ferrari, too. But,we never did. You Never saw a Ferrari driving around,or Parked somewhere. And,even to this day,you barely ever do. I take my 8 year old Son out with me whenever I can on Ferrari Drives and Events. As well as all Car Shows,Cruise Nights,Racing,Auto Show, anything and everything that has to do with cars. And he just loves it! He is learning alot all of the time about different Cars,Models,Etc... So,by the time he is in his Teens and ready to drive,he should be on the "Right Track"....
