Columbus Day (although might be a good day to take the Slutmobile to the park...teach the kids a lesson in Italian culture)
Here is the carbon fiber Turtledex board, it is of course much stiffer than a wood board and lighter so you have to adapt to it I was riding today wearing my Batman armor at first kids are shocked by it but they get over it quick, it may look goofy but I laugh when I fall Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

cool. am a skater here too.. but stopped as I had a bad accident and have titanium plates in my body now. used to love the Bones Bridgate and could catch air on half pipes etc and could do 360's,front side air, wrap ard etc on launch ram's etc. .. Those we the days, . .. . do share some of the tricks that you guys can do?
I was looking at their 2009 bikes, looks like the DK Opsis is their best flatland? It is their only bike with front brakes, so I think that's the right one. Thanks for the recommendation, I think that's exactly what I need! Rode my Haro all weekend racing the Challenge car and good for getting around, but the weight and lack of good brakes reminded me it is useless for freestyle.
Do not get a DK Fury. Please. It's all MIC. Plus, it's only the emo kids who ride flatland these days. I'm riding a custom--and I really mean custom--Supercross cruiser for my BMX these days.
flatland is all I'm interested in (back in my day it was only called freestyle), too old for ramps and only reason I want to do this is bring back some childhood fun. What is MIC?
Made In China. Please, Rob, start here: http://supercrossbmx.com/mxdetail.html And I'll tell you that I just can't do a 20-incher after riding my cruiser.
ANybody ever ride 1 of these ? I think I'll get 1 to try it at the park Image Unavailable, Please Login
I started skating in 1984 and never quit. I just recently went on a trip to Denver to skate a few new parks. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
OK, Mr. Sensitive. I was saying flatland is for emo kids. DK's a good brand, but the Fury model has always been too short for me, height not length, and I'm only 5'9". Plus, they ain't made in the good ol' US of A any more. They're all from China. Being an old skool BMXer, I just can't ride a bike from China.
I started freestylin in 1985 back in the Eddie Fiola days...I had GT Pro Performer. In 1987 I started to Skate and have never quit, I am 33 now...I have my wife right now posting some vids from a few years ago on youtube..I will post links once there up... I still have fun on bikes today though, I can still do bar endos, but i have to lay the bike flat to get out or when i pull it abck up, I touch, and tail whips (foot under the front tire, and kick the bike around)....Cherry pickers and fire hydrents and what not..but i am still just a skater and always will be...
somebody earlier mentioned the ripstick, which is more or less a two-wheeled skate board. My brother got one of these, and I ended up using it far more than him. Once you get an hour or two of practice down, you can go anywhere. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I just back ordered a 2009 DK Opsis, which is their flatland specialty bike. Replaces the Signal. Also last night I got the Haro Mirra Flair out and after tuning the brakes for 10 minutes got them biting perfect, so started practicing the basics. I've come up with a little routine of basic tricks and my goal is to go through it without a touch within a month.
