I was wondering if anyone put on the little K & N filters that sit on top of each carb? I want to know if they work well & if the car sounds better. I also want to know if a regular K&N filter works alot better than the stock filter. More power, sound etc..
    Thanks, Chris

I have used K&n's on various bikes and cars, they are supposed to give you an extra few horsepower due to being more free flowing, they certainly sound better Imho

Chris, I used them on a GT4 that I owned several years ago. The sound is great. I didn't really notice a difference in power. The only draw back I could see at the time was engine heat being a factor, ie; the factory air cleaner sucking cooler air through the duct by the rear window. Also the dirt in the engine compartment that is sucked from the wheels and under the car flows through the engine compartment whereas the factory system is relitively away from all that dirt/dust. My air filters were in constant need of cleaning. Anyway with the trade off of extra heat and dirt from inside the engine compartment I think I wouldn't waste the money now. If I hadn't felt like I was throwing money away on the air filters I would have gone back to the orginal air filter. Hope that helps. Regards, Vern
