Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't K40 the radar/lasar maker that's been discredited by a lot of potential buyers/reviewers because K40 refused to participate in objective lasar detection tests by guys of lidar and/or other testers. If I'm wrong and since you are offering the product, can you pls. provide some links to objective testing so we can make some informed judgements about its viability. Thanks.

There's a TON of dispute over K40 as I learned when I tried to find out more about it. Why? Because it was installed in my 993 Porsche twin turbo, purchased a while back. The seemingly endless dispute can be followed on various rennlist posts. For example: http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/showthread.php?t=355408&highlight=k40+radar&page=2
What I couldn't find in my search was any evidence on K40's performance. Moreover, a company I consulted that markets and installs the equipment advised me it might not be my best investment to repair the K40 unit in my Porsche because the technology was outdated -- the implication being K40 technology is rather old, probably not very effective. Now, I don't want to lambast a product if my information is incorrect and so, as with the prior post, I simply ask the K40 agents to refer us to some recent test data on (i) radar detection performance of their product(s) and (ii) lasar jamming performance of their product.

Thank you for providing some evidence based support for K40. A question however: why do we never see K40 tested IN COMPARISON with other leading lasar detection systems, like Escort SR7 lasar shifters, laser interceptor, etc. I believe this was one of the major points of contention on the Rennlist posts -- that K40 did not participate in comparative testing of products, that it even refused to participate. Again, I don't want to go on a witch hunt, nor am I in the business of trying to defend one lasar detection system over another. I have Escort SR7 lasar jammers in my 360CS and K40 -- which is broken -- in my Porsche 993 twin turbo. I want to replace BOTH lasar jamming systems in my cars with the best product on the market. But to make an informed choice, I need to see their comparative strengths and weaknesses (and that includes K40) before I make my decision. All the comparative tests I've read say that 'Lasar Interceptor' surpasses all the rest (though, to my knowledge, K40 wasn't and hasn't been included in any comparative tests with other products for several years).
