    Here's shots of the mychron 3 & 4. The 3 is older and has a USB jack on it so it downloads directly to a computer via USB cable. The 4 is what the majority of karters have now. Its more advanced and a GPS system can be added to it. It uses a specific flash drive to transfer data to a computer.

    Both use the RaceStudio2 software for data acquisition. This is the same software used by AIM in all their products - karting & car. Peter - ProCoach is master at the software side and is a distributor for all of AIM's products.

    The X30 seems to be pretty decent, but they hit those guys with a weight penalty. Most of the guys I raced against in the Parilla Challenge class at the USPKS were running them.

    We have a quite a few Rotax guys in our local series. If I were starting over again, I would give them a close look. Very reliable, and the starter actually works! No worries with regards to water temps, and you can run them for many more hours between rebuilds.

    We have a rapidly growing Yamaha Pipe class. I'm not sure if that's the same as Komet. There are typically fifteen, or so drivers in that class. That's the class I'll run when I grow up. :D
