Karting at Xtreme Wed Feb 17th at 7 PM

We'll be doing an 8 minute follow the leader session before starting the lap races. This is for the newer guys to learn the line and for anyone else who wants a little more seat time. We'll start the lap races at 7:30 or so. Turnout has been great lately and has made for some fun lap races.

Also for those that know JV, he'll be back in town for a few days next week and will most likely join us for karting as well! Hope to see some of you out there...

 

I'll be there. May have to drive with boxing gloves tho.

Wasn't the other guy like 6'-5" 260 lbs...........Count me in for Karting or to witness another good boxing match.....either way, both are entertaining!!!

 

No way, he was more like 6'-11", 298 lbs, maybe bigger...................for sure bigger!

 

If that's your only excuse then you better be there!!!

Light fixtures or light bulbs? I guess it doesn't matter...just don't sneeze and throw your back out or have a bad day and decide to skip karting...

So we're just about for sure 30 people and may hit close to 40!

 

Not for a while anyway, I spoke to his mother and he is grounded for the next six weeks...............but his son can still come out and drive!

man, do i live on the wrong side of the state or what.... I miss karting! oh, and you guys as well!

 

That was fun last night, we had 24 people (and 5 Daves!) in the end and 2 great races. JV and his dad (former IRL driver) showed up and we had some really fast people as well. Aside from an errant black flag (sorry Dave F) the event was a lot of fun. Once we get everyone up to speed things will continue to get smoother. Maybe next time I'll follow the group rather than lead in the warmup session and see if I can give pointers from that standpoint as well. See everyone in 2 weeks!

FYI,
Lew was the winner of the 1st race, he drove like a PROFESSIONAL.

 

Yeah, we'll have to bump him up to the faster group next time...he looked really good out there...I guess the laps he got in following me in the warmup helped quite a bit!

See you in a month Zoom!! Next time you want a set of wheels, put the money you would have spent on your Xtreme card instead..I bet you could kart for a couple years...EASY!
