Karting at Xtreme Wed Jan 20th at 7 pm

They just completed a new track layout this week so it should be a lot of fun! We were able to run a lap race last time and should be able to do so again this time. It was great for the new guys to just be able to go out there and turn laps without any cautions. Hopefully we can keep a decent sized group attending this year! Let's see some more of you guys out there!!!!

 

Andy, I've also been spreading the word........should be a good turn out.

YES YES YES, please bring your own helmets (If you have one). If not; they do have helmets for your use.

 

I think the group might be going to the Breakers for a nightcap afterwards. $20 cash only or something like that...

generally it makes it easier for use to tell everyone apart. I still need to paint mine (got some anodized red looking paint i want to use)

 

Sounds great Mike! And as Robert said, yes, it's best to bring your own helmets if you have them. Also, the track requires closed toed shoes. We've had a couple people go over to Syms and buy shoes when they showed up in sandals

Paint??? who needs paint, just add stickers. I'm sure Robert has a couple extras. I"m sure by now he's run out of room on his helmet and in true Ricky Bobby fashion put a fig newton sticker on his visor!

Thanks to everyone who came out! We had a pretty large group (about 20 guys) and ran 2 separate lap races. I hope the new guys had fun and will come back for some more friendly competition. It was a bit tough getting everyone signed up since we had so many new guys but it worked out pretty well and the GM at the track was very helpful in getting some of the guys set up with what they needed. We'll probably be back in 2 weeks again on either Tuesday the 2nd or Wednesday the 3rd of February.

 

Great turn out which made the races very competitive and fun. Although I don't think it was fair of Robert to toss blobs of gelato onto the track to make us spin out. He had an unfair advantage but the track did smell sweeeeeeeet!
