Karting at Xtreme Wednesday March 3rd at 7 PM

We'll do the same thing we did last time as far as running warmup sessions at 7 and the lap races at 7:30. I may do a bit of following in the warmups this time rather than leading to help some of you further dial in your line. Paying for the 8 min session and lap race up front worked out pretty well last time, then all we had to do was divide up and race.

They are having an event there earlier in the day to kick off the Grand-Am race at Homestead and should have one of the Starworks Motorsport BMW Rileys there (they are a sponsor of the car).

Absolutely! We are on the calendar for racing at 7:15 ish. I spoke to the track owners about this before scheduling us out there and they assured me we would not have any issues and thought we'd even enjoy seeing the Daytona Prototype car Xtreme is sponsoring for the race. It should be at the event unless the setup hasn't been completed for the race...spoke to the team owner last week and he wasn't sure when they'd have the car back from their engineer to finish setup on it and he has different priorities (like winning).

So to confirm, YES, we are still on to race on Wed, see you there!!!

 

Apparently Big 105.9 changed plans and will be running later than the owners thought so we will change our start time to 8 PM. I hope this works for everyone. Will start contacting those that I have #s for now. Sorry for the hassle guys...

 

The track is trying to arrange a race between our guys and some of the Grand-Am drivers that are coming out...stay tuned....

 

I don't know if they even know who's showing up for sure yet, things change by the minute with the event organizer but Xtreme is sponsoring either the #7 or # 8 Riley BMW DP car so perhaps the Starworks drivers will be there: Bill Lester, Mike Forest, Ian James and Ryan Dalziel - who drove the Action Express DP car that won Daytona 24hrs. I do know that if all goes well we will have Grand Am driver Barry Ellis (Hop-A-Jet Porsche cup car) on our team and possibly his co-driver as well. Also I'm trying to get 2 ALMS drivers that run an LMP car to run with as well!! Check back here if you can b/c I REALLY don't know when they might want us there for the friendly race, I'm sure details will trickle out today...
