racing would be somewhat that is competitive.
Xtreme is far from being competitive. Bad carts and no adjustment for body weight, which on a cart makes all the difference.
Make them 250Lbs with driver all even and they need to fix up their carts and we can talk.

 

But Martin I'll bring Gummi Bears! The only time I'll EVER have a chance to beat you on the track is due to the unfair advantage I have at Extreme!

 

You'd have to bring about 150Lbs of gummie bears and have them in your pocket while we race and then I'll eat them after the race

In all reality though, I know we are in trouble when I can run Xtreme and drive away from you because I got the best kart by luck and you the worst...and that has happened before.

 

Is the competition that stiff that we need to worry about being equally weighted?

 

True, true but that was because you kept jumping up in your seat and were only touching the kart with your hands and feet, an unfair advantange!

 

I heard there's a hot pink kart with your name on it!!

10Lbs makes a huge difference in a lap race even if the drivers were all the same and all karts are equal (which they are not). If you have guys weighing in at 110Lbs and others at 210Lbs you are running gigantic differences. That is why racing series restrict weight to the car and drivers weight combined. when you see the drivers getting on the scales after a F1 race that is so they will add the weight of the driver after the race with helmet and suit etc with the weight of the car as it sits in parc ferme. That is also the reason why the team asks the drivers to pickup marbles on their in lap.

Of course going karting is for fun but then if you have no clean competition that takes the fun away if you ask me.

 

Solution: Keep the Gummi Bears out of your lap and Indian wrestle Andy for the good kart (he always seems to find one)!

 

and he sure does not need one!
