Who can recommend a great custom 3M film installer in the KC area? I'm getting a new Gallardo delivered tomorrow and want to protect it ASAP.

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the help, Tom.

FYI, I recommend the Auto Glass and Tint Shop in Merriam right by I-35. I picked my car up today after they installed a 3M kit, and it looks great so far. They are really nice and professional.

PLEASE, DO NOT USE AUTOGLASS AND TINT, IN MERRIAM KS.
THEY COMPLETELY SCREWED UP, A 360 spider, I took over a couple years, ago, and after they RUINED THE PAINT, ON THE BUMPER, THEY WOULD NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK, I HAD TO COME OUT OF POCKET $600.00 to REPAIR THEIR SCREW UP, THEY ARE NOT HONORABLE PEOPLE.

YOu NEED TO USE PDI CLEAR BRA AND TINT, in SHAWNEE KS. 913-422-1742
at 83rd street, and 7 highway, FAR WEST SHAWNEE) THEY HAVE DONE 3 CARS FOR ME RECENTLY.
THE AFOREMENTIONED 360 SPIDER (FULL CUSTOm KIT), including whole hood, bumper, rockers, etc etc. THE VENTURE SHIELD, THEY SELL, MAKES THE 3M PRODUCT LOOK LIKE A BAD JOKE (THE SPIDER, WAS BLACK, AND IT LOOKS GREAT!)
THEy also did a 360, challenge stradale, and a 430 coupe (bumpers on both)

How'd they ruin the paint? Was it immediately obvious?

I saw the work, it was amateur at best. They really messed up this car and it had to be repaired and according to Chris Hill, they would not pay to make it right.

Not discounting what happened to this 360 in the past, I wonder myself how the paint was ruined. I've seen Lance's Gallardo and it looks good to me in comparison to what I have seen on other cars in the past. I could see where the 360 could be more difficult to install for the inexperienced, but the Gallardo appears straight forward with its front design, but the paint thing !! I (was) going to use them on based on his experience........

Tom, I do not want to get too deep into this.... The first time they tried to do the 360 Chris had picked the car up in the rain. The next morning when they had a chance to really look at the car, it was clearly not done correctly.

They took the car back and attempted to redo it, but called after a few days the they called Chris and said they could not do it. When Chris picked up the car, the front bumper was damaged, they would not say how it was damaged but an area about the size of a half-dollar was damaged, you know, about the size of the head of a heat gun....

Chris spoke to the owner but he said he was out the cost of two kits and he was done... Chris had to send the car to the body shop and have the bumper pulled off and painted.

Chris eventually filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau but he never was paid.

I have not used them myself, I just was a witness while this was going on...

The 3M material is not my favorite, it has alot of orange peel in it, this new shop uses a film that is MUCH smoother and we have not had any issues with them....

oh well, the joys of car ownership...!
