The 400i in the auction went for $21k. It had really ugly imitation Ferrari chrome wheels and non correct tires, an MSD spark box, wrong oil filters, among other issues. I met the new owner who lives in Friendswood. He said it was too cheap to pass up. I told him about the club. It was pretty obvious he had no idea what he had gotten himself into. (wheels and tires alone will run $5k) I sure hope he can get it into shape and not let someone take advantage of him and butcher it. Thanks, I thought it looked pretty good. Not a show winner, but I don't mind. I drive them, so my cars will never be perfect show cars. I drove it down Saturday morning...SCARED TO DEATH! 6am and the storms were all around me, pouring rain, lightening, and so on. I'd never driven my 400 in the rain. My shoulders and arms were sore all day from my death grip on the wheel.
Mark, it didn't. I talked to the owner who said that it sold for $150+, but the buyer backed out. He had it sold post block, and that deal went south also. Dale
Interesting Dale. Any idea why the deals flopped? How did the car look in person? I liked the car, but it didn't seem to be a very precise replica. Did you take any pics? Mark
I think your perception is correct. While, it is cool looking car, it didn't seem quite right on the body part. Knowing Norwood, I'm sure that it is one heck of a drive. But the car just looks a little off. I only took one picture, and it wasn't a very good one. Dale Image Unavailable, Please Login
