Mental focus. To improve it, consider martial arts. I did it years ago. Made all the difference in the world. It isn't about aggression, but about achieving mental focus to make your goals. Worth the time and effort.

I've never done it, my daughter did awhile like every suburban family. I'm with you on the mental aspect, I think most martial arts are minimal value in a fighting situation. The exception might be forms like Jiu-Jitsu.

It's value in a fighting situation is based upon experience. It is best for those who practice continuously. Re-training your mental aspect to overcoming mental fog and procrastination is key to its value. Second, it provides a boost in self confidence for those lacking in this area. Teaches you your own self worth. Worth the effort.

I'm all for it mental, self confidence, and a good workout. There will also be an advantage against someone not trained in anything. I'll take an MMA fighter or boxer anytime though.
